Everything about this case is incredibly upsetting, its about as cut and dry of a hate crime as you can get. Not only does it make repairs for your own fursuit much easier to face, you also gain the ability to be someone else's HERO by being able to help with repairing theirs. Some of the most rewarding experiences I've had so far were helping friends by repairing damage on their fursuits.

If you have a fursuit I highly recommend learning some basic sewing skills and a few stitches and keep a sewing kit with upholstery thread. It turns otherwise big daunting repairs into "oh, okay, this won't take more than 10 minutes".
