Wow, these are so beautiful. I love the details and your fabrics. Looks amazing!

Don't watch the machine sew, watch the fabric enter the needle plate and make sure the seam allowance stays consistent there and it'll be right at the needle.

I think 2 of these were on my list as possibly good options. Thanks for the recommendations(I should have solicited them but didn't want to impose :) )

Thanks very much for confirming that. Now I feel empowered to spend the money on them. Very exciting :)

Haven't read the books but have heard really good things. Looking forward to the show but conflicted over whether I should read/listen to the books first.

I've been looking for pattern drafting books and resources, the ones that seem good seem very expensive(they may be textbooks).
Better Homes & Gardens makes really good sewing and quilting books!

+1 to this. I believe that the open office floorplan raises my anxiety level like 10% or something because I never get to feel like I'm alone or have my own space. I miss being remote to be honest.

This makes sense to me, thanks for sharing! Your work is really inspiring to me to keep learning how to make garments.

Do you sew the muslin together by machine or do you hand baste it? Always been curious about the process.

Nice. I use a little camera lens cleaning blower shaped like a rocket. It works well and has a long snout that fits into tight places.

It's from a bonus supplement from the authors of "100 paper pieced quilt blocks"... which is a really good book of patterns for beginners

It seemed like it was sewing the tail in, instead of pulling from the spool... it would sometimes break too but I think that might have been me yanking the fabric out in frustration :/... finally figured it out.. you thread the needle on Singer 300 right to left.. first time seeing that

... whether I buy this wilcox & gibbs treadle I've been eyeing on ebay... the cabinet looks like it's in amazing shape, the pictures of the head are frustratingly blurry 😡🤣

Was really hoping the one next to me could stay open just a little longer. I am sad that we can't seem to keep crafting stores open. We lost a local quilt shop last year and I wouldn't be surprised to see another go soon. Our priorities as a society are out of wack.

Managed to get the spring off and got the set screw for the worm gear off but the gear itself won't budge. Tried penetrating oil and heat to no avail... all the videos I've found they've already taken it off so I'm guessing it's just gunked up and will take a few days of pen oil.

Cut the glory allen hat in muslin to try something a little simpler... but the rain and clouds have tuckered me out for a bit.

Love the "If you have questions call your provider's office." Guessing that your provider doesn't know anything more than we do given how fast these changes are rolling out.
