Paizo and R. Talsorian court indie designers for their next projects

making a presentation

Technically, all videogames are pixelated. The ones we call pixelated or "pixel games" have fewer, so they're actually LESS pixelated. These are the things that bother me lol

One rule of dming that has always done well: You can basically change anything in the rules so long as it applies to both players & monsters. It won't unbalance things. EG: I don't make characters pick up their sword as an action after being knocked out. It's an unnecessary action tax #Pathfinder2e

OMG THEY MADE IT

Something I like to do in #Pathfinder2e is the "loot room". Tons of magic items & valuables on the floor. Moving is an action. Picking something up is an action. You have 3 rounds to get what you want before the room self destructs in some spectacular way. 💣

Aiight Avowed I see what you did there

My players get so clever with their recall knowledge questions. Instead of asking "what damage type are they weak to" (which can often be none) they ask "which would deal the most damage: fire, cold, or electric?" That takes into account both weaknesses AND resistance.

My biggest complaint with #Avowed so far is.... There's like 8 types of enemies. Humanoid, Skeletons, Xaurips, Bears, Elementals, and maybe a few I'm forgetting. But like you see the SAME enemies every Map, no matter where you go. It's bland and repetitive.

Being radicalized increasingly since 2016 has just been banging my head against this post indefinitely.

Some people have gotten their copy of NPC Core(not me yet), and I need to get arts of Phoebe my wearing that Big Boss Goblin drip!

I really wish Tactical Adventures (developer behind Solasta) would make a pf2e game. Solasta 2 looks as good as BG3 (though is likely going to be more combat/less story focused) and that sounds perfect for the system. @paizo.com give them the rights 😂

Some people are struggling now that Pathfinder has removed alignment; We have provided a solution. Subscribe to Pathfinder: https://buff.ly/2kVyf0e

Just wrapping up a design for something I'm really proud of and stoked to show people. And the best bit is, you won't have to wait too long to see it 👀 Might just cut through the red tape and throw it out there soon. (that's a hint) #pathfinder2e #ttrpg #3pp

Additional Lore is the strongest skill feat-- no, the strongest general feat in all of #pathfinder2e, when used well. Playing abomination vaults? Take lore Gauntlight Ruins. Sky Kings tomb? Lore Highhelm. Season of Ghosts? lore Willowshore. It's a powerful tool for recall knowledge and more.

#Pathfinder2e question: A creature is sickened and unconscious. Sickened stops a creature from willingly ingesting anything. Can another creature administer the potion to them while they're still unconscious?

Ever want to romance an NPC in your game? Well now #Pathfinder2e will help your DM know how to run that!

To my fellow nerds with back problems: get yourself a triangular pillow that's long but wider in the middle than the edges. Sleep with the widest part running down your spine. This forces you into a shoulders back "good posture" position for like 7 hours straight. I wake up feeling good now.

The more sympathetic a story is to each of its characters, the closer it is to the truth.

I'm very big on letting players use their skills in unusual ways if you can justify it. Like using Medicine for Intimidation: "Saying you'll break every bone in someone's body is unrealistic. That's 206 bones. But the feet and hands have 106, so I'll settle for breaking half."

Dragon's Dab We swear this stuff is totally safe to consume. Just don't get it in your eyes. It's our latest free magic item for your #DnD games.

anyway i mostly ramble about pathfinder and whatever games have caught my attention recently so if you find that interesting then follow or something i guess 👉😎👉

Last time I painted my nails black, a few guys made comments like "men should only wear clear coats or better yet nothing" so this time theyre going goblin's ass green 💚

The Investigator class ( #Pathfinder2e) is arguably the class that requires the most DM / player coordination to define what their mysteries are and what their bonuses apply to So to learn how to better DM for my Investigator player, I've rolled up one of my own at another table 😁

Crystal Project's opening quote PERFECTLY NAILS why I think there needs to be some level of difficulty in RPGs of all kinds

I've written one very successful book and one mildly successful book and tbh this is true. Labour investment to a project does NOT correlate to success.

Tbh Rogue Waters is a top tier game for roguelike pirating action with unique tactical mechanics.

Tbh Psychics should be able to activate their Unleash Psyche as a free action anytime they want. 1. Barbs can Rage free action at initiative 2. After 2 rounds they're going to be stupified. Its likely suboptimal to do it RIGHT as initiative is rolled anyways. Let them have fun. #Pathfinder2e

Tbh I did not expect this from my state, but I'm happily surprised.

Oh damn I totally forgot about PC Core, get hype again #pathfinder2e #ttrpg

I like to use my characters to expand on the worldbuilding & lore of the setting their in For example, My Alchemist (#Pathfinder2e) is studying Mutagens: We know what their immediate effects are, but what are the long term effects of repeated use? I'm excited to find out! 😁

📌 Hello Bluesky! I'm Kaiya, a Chinese-diaspora TTRPG designer, roleplay theorist, and occasional AP performer. Current project: The Worldbuilder's Almanac (still accepting late pledges!) I also post daily peeks into my indie RPG downloads folder. Full portfolio and mailing list at mirror-lock.com!

I really appreciate #Pathfinder2e for the way its rules are written. There's often a bit of text saying "as is normal", which teaches you how the game is normally run, barring any strange circumstances. It made picking the game up extra easy.

I feel like some of my friends could fulfill this need.
