"When they withhold your paycheck, or injure you, or deny you what you have worked for, we are the people that can get it back" Musk is stealing your money and making it easier for your boss to steal from you

No idea whether Rufo is right about what Tulsi Gabbard will do but worth noting that she has a history of anti-LGBTQ views www.americanbridgepac.org/wp-content/u...

Yeah man lemme give you the robot tour. So that’s Cambot there filming you. Our girl Gypsy runs the ship for us. Of course there’s Tom Servo, always ready with a witty and erudite reference. *suddenly very low and serious* And that’s Crow. He’s fucking crazy dude. Don’t fuck with him

His "source" for this is Grok, and even Grok admits the info isn't readily available. It's truly just flagrant racism.

I told you federal jobs are a shorthand for minority employment for the Right.

I would like to see ANY of the pundits and intellectuals who've spent the last decade pissing and moaning about cancel culture dedicate at least 1/100th of that energy to the ongoing explicitly identity-based purges at the behest of professional propagandists, but I'm not holding my breath.

People who say Dracula can't be forgiven because they fingered a guido are the same people who simp for these folks.

im obsessed with the early modern period because you go to any scientist's biography and it's like "then he wrote a 400 page treatise about how the world-soul is sentient but not conscious and thereby it cannot go to hell"

The number of people who believe lying is not inherently an evil and by extension that oaths are not important things that require great care leads me to believe our society must return to the ancient ways: oathbreakers must be cast upon the beach of the dead to be chewed upon by a dragon

I really love that "succeeding in finishing an authored experience designed to be finished and enjoyed" is such a marker of resilience and character. I'm going to eat a meal at a high-end restaurant and call myself a survivalist.

We're gonna look back at the media covering up Trump's senility in the runup to the 2024 election as one of the most successful propaganda campaigns of the last century. Will be a defining feature of his presidency and get worse as the term goes on.

NY Gov. Kathy Hochul’s response: “We are a nation of laws, not ruled by a king. The MTA has initiated legal proceedings in the Southern District of New York to preserve this critical program. We’ll see you in court.”

Phil Murphy is going to seek some kind of office since he's term-limited as governor and it's important he gets crushed in the primary, whatever that office happens to be.

you bow to a false king and you dishonor your office, oathbreaker

I'm going to get a big fucking back tat of this. God's Own Country. The Felony Convictions State.

Queens rn:

He’s super orange like why are you coming after resist libs this man looks insane what do you want people to say

It's also worth pushing back a little on the idea that gluing your eyeballs to the Palantir means you're better prepared than the average citizen. Depending on your sources *and how you interpret them* you may be more informed. But most people are just gorging on context-free info.

The original sin of a lot of online political discourse is trying to describe feuds between personalities and cliques using the terminology and frameworks we use to analyse actual political movements.

this attitude — paperwork is for sissies, real wars are won by Big Strong Men — is traditionally a harbinger of ruinous for defeat for everyone who holds it

i got really mad over the weekend re: the way a certain internet leftist was talking about immigration and now here we are gabydelvalle.substack.com/p/the-spirit...

Oh no! The leopards are eating Eli Lake and Bari Weiss' faces!

The impulse to say "the economy can't be good if some people aren't doing well" and "no policy can be implemented if someone is inconvenienced by it" come from the same place of insisting that there aren't trade offs in the world and are both pretty toxic to understanding and fixing problems.

The wild thing is that the economy being good or bad has always been at best ancillary to Will Stancil's schtick, that media narratives are whack. He went "hmm the economy was similar in 2024 as it was in 2019 but people are reacting differently" and now he's stuck in Poasting Verdun.

If somebody the question is "By traditional metrics, US economic performance in 2024 roughly matches that of 2019, why does consumer satisfaction differ so much?" then "Because of the inherent exploitation and oppression of the capitalist system" is not actually a useful answer to the query.

Poor people always have a hard time. They don't call it poverty for kicks. Which is why you've gotta set standards & benchmarks if you're going to measure improvement short of ending poverty. Some folks mistake the benchmarks for the goal. Some folks discount the benchmarks. Can't do either.

Brianna Keilar: Do you think that calling Elon Musk a dick is effective messaging? Congressman Robert Garcia: Well, he is a dick.

More and more people are saying that Trump take egg
