There is so much inevitable, unavoidable suffering in the world (death, disease, natural disaster, accidents) that it is just INCOMPREHENSIBLE to me that white men INVENT fantastical justifications for more human suffering. I HATE IT!!! Sorry. Having a moment. But WHAT THE FUCK???!!! Grrrrrr...

So based on the article below, as of January the voting members of the College of Cardinals consisted of: 6 JPII 23 Benedict 110 Francis Just so everyone knows what the lay of the land is

Last year I grew out my bangs, and this year I grew out my grey. This is the first time my hair has been dye-free since 1989! Ahhh!!

"Let's figure out why men become Nazis" isn't a particularly rewarding game, in my opinion. Yes, everyone has reasons for what they do, but the answer to "why does a white man embrace a political system in which white men alone hold power" is fairly self-evident.

I did not have "invasive sea lamprey" on my DOGE bingo card. 🫠

We call them "the Greatest Generation" for shooting Nazis.

Has anyone tried poisoning them? I don't want to hear Congressional Dems say their hands are tied if they have been in the same room with Nazis and have not tried that yet.

"Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us...There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another..." — Carl Sagan, Pale Blue Dot, 1994

This is the geopolitical equivalent to a bald man in wrap-around sunglasses leaving his loyal, beautiful wife - who raised his successful children and kept his name out of the papers - for an 18 year old semi-literate aspiring model who is only dating him for his money.

Drank too much wine and expressed some incredibly obvious but profound-to-me thoughts about art and felt myself being written as a character in a Woody Allen movie but I didn't mind.

Where I'm posting from:

I think most people are intuitively aware of this but something like the official White House account posting an “ASMR” video of shackled immigrants is not just cruel for its own sake, it’s intentional envelope-pushing to ramp up to desensitization over inhumane detention, camps, and deaths

Tyranny requires your fear, your silence, and your compliance. Democracy requires your courage.

JB and AOC are directly standing up to this regime in a way that takes courage and nerves of steel. They aren't telling us what they can't do. They aren't complaining that they tried. They aren't playing it safe and issuing canned sound bites. They aren't fundraising. They are leading by example.

Adorno got it right in 1945

"Before mass leaders seize the power to fit reality to their lies, their propaganda is marked by its extreme contempt for facts as such, for in their opinion fact depends entirely on the power of man who can fabricate it." Arendt

Just a reminder that fascists, authoritarians, dictators of all stripes destroy archives— books, museums, databases, &c— because those things provide windows onto a plurality of other ways we might organize the world. And so preserving, defending, and spreading that knowledge harms those regimes.

Off with his fucking head.
