Also just a shout out to Skokie where there is an amazing Palestinian-owned market next door to the kosher Dunkin.

And her generation, all of those protesters and victims, they came into this world riding a patriotic wave of the defeat of the Nazis, of GI Bill upward mobility and standards of living their parents could not have dreamed of. And the 60s still crushed their fucking souls.

I love watching videos of Brits eating biscuits and gravy for the first time. So wholesome.

Not shocked you are doing appeasement but actually still a little shocked you're doing appeasement.

Hard not to love the monster you created even if it is a monster, I guess.

If the body says rest, rest. I had a rough abdominal surgery (I just take a bit longer to heal and require a bit stronger pain meds than the average bear) once and Lynda Barry got me through it. If you can get your hands on a copy of Greatest of Marlys and some good narcotics, I recommend it.

We'd need an Ave Chi Cargo in order to replicate this.

Scrolling through that article was like sifting through the dress rack at a charity thrift store.

Oh it was just the internet (Wikipedia mostly.) I am watching a TV show about it and knew nothing of the history or locale. Neat stuff.

I wonder what changed. Roger's Park rents used to be cheaper than here and it had a lot more amenities.

Also, Evanston isn't the most affordable place compared to a lot of Chicago unless you are doing all your shopping & leisure outside Evanston or don't pay property taxes.

Can I ask specifically what transit service you will lose? Or are you more concerned with frequency? It depends on where you are in Evanston. I'm within 3 blocks of the purple line, Metra, cta bus, pace bus, divvy station, and 5 block from the red line. I can't imagine they will scrap all of them.
