Don’t know. I’m still on x for my news fixes. Used to post art here. Maybe I’ll start again.

Welcome to blue, old friend. Love your beautifully evocative image on the long-term benefits of housework on one’s back and knees. And how a mere two generations ago, many women wore hair-concealing head veils, some out of modesty, some as part of their sworn devotional spinsterhood.

The Ukrainians are rapidly evolving drones and electronic warfare. And surgically dismantling the Russian military-industrial complex. The latest wave of attacks sends the message to Trump that his options will be limited.

Wouldn't it make sense for a pharma company to start stocking up now? They'd make a killing.
I heard the Finns were preemptively vaxing poultry & cattle workers and other vulnerable groups. I bet vax tourism campaign would make Helsinki a hot destination—great opportunity for the off season.

Belle analyse ! Je pense que l'Ukraine est en train de nous démontrer qu'elle est parfaitement capable de continuer à se défendre, au cas où Trump chercherait à forcer la négociation. L'evolution rapide des drones et des contre-mesures électroniques sont en train de changer la donne.

If we want to reach the stars, we’ll really need antimatter.

Starship opens up the Solar System. We can definitely terraform Mars. Venus will be more challenging, but has .9 Earth gravity, so quite the prize. Taking care of Earth, of course, should be our main concern.

I agree! That’s the problem. So many people are stuck in their resentment and won’t look at the actual stakes. It’s only getting worse. Trump is going to do terrible things, and unfortunately, many will buy in. No returning from that.

Dems don't know how to reach people in this day and age. Or can you even fight against the constant mud-slinging without getting angry and feeling victimized? We know how that works.

Fossil fuels depend on scarcity. Like a drug, you must continue getting your fix. Price is hard on the poorest.
Solar, wind and storage are cumulative. As prices drop, energy becomes widely to all. Pakistanis, like many others, are bypassing their grid.

Visually appealing or not, Cybertruck spells the beginning of the end for the criminally inefficient light trucks.
The real challenge of the heavy transport Semi is a network charging huge amounts of power at speed. Tesla leads in energy storage and management.
Still lots of work to do.

Tesla did trigger the big battery ramp up, first with Giga Nevada, and then telling the manufacturers they would buy every battery they made. Now stored solar is beating out LNG in peak hours and stabilizing grids everywhere. How long would this have taken without Tesla to prime the pump?

Bad Elon is in the news. But Good Elon triggered the EV revolution: making compelling EVs (no ads); a global supercharger network; and triggering the battery avalanche.
Tesla's Semi and Cybertruck are aimed at heavy transport and "light" trucks. The worst offenders. Bad Elon can't stop that.

I wonder what the consolation prize will be for Jim Jordan, who was the obvious choice.

It’s always the people who have the most that are greediest for more. Russia thinks the world is just a big game of Risk.

It’s so frustrating. Gaza is beyond horrible. But Mariupol went from 450 to 100K inhabitants. Mass graves, “filtration” camps for torture/execution. Deportation for the lucky ones. Where’s the outrage?

New ones have the grandeur of 2001 and Laurence of Arabia. Immersive. Pacing, cinematography, score far above today’s blockbuster drek. Revamped story removes annoying prodigy sister. Stronger Chani is now the anti-messiah leader. Ends with her leaving and saddling up a worm alone.
