The HVAC guy saw my DS posters &started talking… his daughter is preschool aged and just diagnosed as autistic. I talked to him about getting an AAC, the ASAN, my coauthors & friends w ASD, the books I’ve read & (can’t remember how it came up) that we don’t force our son to look us in the eye.
