Before writing emotionally, I suggest you first understand US election and how certain voting blocs play a role. Lastly, even the most powerful of men are compelled to protect their own! Gaza is not a part of US (at least for now). Israel which has a smaller population has much more political clout!

I do agree about the rich lining the pocket. But my personal experience with healthcare has generally been better in US. In Canada I had to use the ER twice and it was an 14+ hour ordeal in both cases. In US I can just go to urgent care and be seen in 30min. Also can see a specialist directly.

1. You can buy it through cobra. So yes you will have stop gap insurance until your next job.
2 . Many people do decide to leave and use Cobra or ACA.

Fellow Canadian here now living I ln the US. Sorry to say this but Access to health care with insurance in US is far superior than Canada. The amount of taxes you pay in Canada for the service you get is just criminal imho. Just my personal experience.
