How do you collectively punish 77 million people for an action that is supposed to be legally anonymous and also make sure that action does not get used as legal precedent later on to justify something you would consider bad? Genuinely asking, have you thought of the long term effects?

I don't know if punishment for voting for something is a legal precedent I want to have established even if it was egregiously horrible. These people do need to face societal shame and consequences though

I'm not saying they didn't, they failed their voter base, I just don't think this was the time to decide to not vote because of that, because of that the worst genocide in history is hoping to become even worse and the US is going to ratchet human rights even more

Both, it's not like either of those bore any fruit in the end. But again I don't think it's worth pretending that another 4 years of a shitty status quo would have been worse than the guys bragging about how much worse they want to make things

I think it does highlight that it was a massive issue. I think it also highlights how much people think inaction and spite work as a motivator to have systems change, when in reality it usually just makes things worse. There's not a universe where Israel gets less support from the US under Trump
