⁉️Because I don't think there is enough spare money everywhere to give everyone a free school meal like they do in London and free school meals should NEVER be a postcode lottery.

⁉️Because nurseries tell stories of parents sending children in with an empty packed lunch hoping the staff will provide food

⁉️Because the current eligibility criteria mean that millions of children who live in food poverty can't access a free lunch.
⁉️Because currently parents are opting out of early years provision because they can't afford the food on top

I would like to see all children on universal credit able to access free school meals from the beginning of free childcare (9 months for some children) right up the end of education. Why?

☑️Language is so important. Misinformation is dangerous. As we deal with it, we need to be careful with not stigmatising

☑️ We all have a duty to call out misinformation - reporting to the @ASA, professional regulating bodies, social media companies
☑️ YouTube has a 'Health Shelves' tool which helps users find evidence based information as well as a 'First Aid Shelves' where you can access first aid info 3/5

☑️ Supporting people to read information and judge the information is key. There are some games which help train in this space (perhaps Sander can share in the comments). You can also do a 'Misinformation Susceptibility Test'

- Those children can access the Holiday Activity Fund programmes giving them free food and activities in the holidays.
It's the right thing to do, it's not a complicated thing. We need it nationally.

What this means:
- Children who are entitled to a free school meal get one
- Families still have the freedom to opt out
- Schools get the 'pupil premium' funding so they can access more money for the child too
