Demonstrably untrue. Two things can be true at the same time : Musk is an engineering and design genius, and Musk is Evil and must be stopped at all costs. I understand why people want to ignore, downplay or refuse the first of these - but let's not go down the MAGA route of ignoring reality.

What he has become disgusts me. I genuinely wonder if he's been sent psychotic because of drug abuse, or if he's suffered a complete mental breakdown. Doesn't matter either way - he must be resisted in every way we can!

He is useless and has to go.

I don't blame you. Try not to engage with the crazies - they'll only drag you down to their level...

I hold out hope for 'before' - is there an MP letter-writing campaign, to get things off the ground?

I dunno - even Chamberlain eventually realised that the game had changed; when will Starmer?
comment in response to post
Agreed, although I think venality would do a better job than naivety there...

Yup. As if Chamberlain had been invited along to witness the signing of the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact...

Even if you still think that growth is a conventional good, any government of the UK which pursues that without even acknowledging Brexit - let alone trying to fix it - is doomed to failure. What has got into Labour? Reversing Brexit would lead to visible and immediate social and economic gains...

Reasonably impressive from Starmer, but surely he knows what to expect from Trump? Is he setting up a strawman situation for when he comes home from being dribbled on by Trump? Genuinely puzzled by this part of his statement.

I hope the assumption is correct. Otherwise, still standing by to start digging that bunker...

Indeed. Sadly it is now mine - I've given up waiting for Starmer to 'snap out of it' and take the steps needed to safeguard the UK's future, like rejoining the EU, embracing PR, and so many other things.
comment in response to post
Agreed. For whatever reason, Starmer is deranged and useless.

They aren't Labour. I don't know what they are, or how they got to where they are now, but it doesn't matter - they have to go, just like the Tories had to. I will support LDs, Greens and anyone I need to in order to be rid of them. A government of national unity works for me.

I don't think so. Starmer must explain why he has set such ridiculous 'red lines' in the first place.

They should have called the police and had him arrested for denying federal officials entry in pursuance of their duties.

Hmm. I know that Viking imaged the earth-moon system as well, when was that?

...isn't that a type of whale? Would not recommend, after a particularly gruelling Icelandic buffet I suffered through in Reykjavik that one time... 😉

Agreed. Which is why in a democracy - particularly a share-owning one - you get to work on the shareholders. Doing anything else is just attacking innocent workers; unless you think Musk only recruited Klansmen or neo-nazis to work for him, which I do not.

Heh. Is he one half of a pair of musicians?

George. Big fan. Firmly of the opinion that Musk is a monster who should be resisted at all costs. But Tesla is a large company building excellent cars; safe, clean and efficient - attacking and labelling them because their CEO is bad is wrong. We should persuade Tesla shareholders to ditch him!
