To state the obvious: It is hard to conduct effective foreign policy when being seen as too aligned with you represents a potential 25+ point electoral liability for prospective partners.

Please highlight this story. ICE stormed into the wrong house, trashed the place, and made women/girls stand outside in the rain in their underwear. ICE also stole phones, laptops, and cash savings from the family, who moved to OKC two weeks ago. kfor.com/news/local/w...

Now we have the answer. The original story was legit then Bezos backed down.

I check the little screen, I check the big screen, I check the watch screen, I check the tablet screen. I check the screen that reminds me of the good times, I check the screen that reminds me of the better times.

"We only need to look at Pierre Poilievre and the Canadian Conservatives to see what is possible." Robert Jenrick, last summer

Labour messing up immigration policy

"We can't stop the boats, so let's cancel the Graduate Visa. Voters either don't know the difference or don't care." Terrible way to make policy, self-destructive as economics, and almost certainly doomed politically. Does anyone genuinely think this makes any sense?

"He was upset that the funeral ceremony wasn't about him. So were a lot of other people."

chinese ministry of foreign affairs spox guo jiakun today: “i want to reiterate that china and the united states are not engaged in consultations or negotiations on the tariff issue.”

USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins: "Every day, we are in conversation with China" China: "Fake news," we have had zero discussions with the US on trade

Pretty shoddy stuff Google. These devices aren't phones. You only look to invest in one thermostat system ever. Hope EU/UKG intervene. www.theverge.com/news/656332/...

Has the White House told us that the 4-year-old cancer patient belonged to MS 13 yet? It’s only a matter of time.

That Daily Mail

My 2-year-old was in an ICE detention facility when she turned to me gravely and asked "Daddy, why am I being deported to Honduras?" And when I told her "Because due process is too woke," she started crying.

Lots of people I know that were furious about kids having to wear masks are real quiet about a two year old citizen being wrongfully deported

This is why the 🇨🇦/🇬🇱 stuff wasn't funny & shouldn't have been normalized & treated as such by the NYT & other major media outlets. He is siding with Putin & wants to validate territorial conquest by great powers. If we were a serious country, it would end his presidency now. bsky.app/profile/mcop...

It’s as though these people think the only human right is cosmetic surgery. apnews.com/article/trum...

If you’re attending the White House Correspondents Association dinner tonight, be sure to come prepared with a joke about the toddler cancer patient they just disappeared despite her being a citizen. Otherwise it’s going to be awkward when you’re mugging for photos with Stephen Miller.

"Reform is launching a drive to raise funds from wealthy offshore donors in low tax jurisdictions including Monaco, UAE and Switzerland..." (FT) It would be nice if the world could stop feeling like a dystopian parody for a while.

WISCONSIN: The chair of the elections commission, a lawyer, breaks down what actually happened using the actual complaint. Arresting judges like this is a wild fast-forwarding of our plunge into authoritarianism.

Commerce Department employees caught up in a legal battle over their mass firings are now learning that their health care coverage was cut off weeks ago, even though they were paying their premiums.

The USDA has withdrawn a plan to impose stronger safety regulations limiting salmonella levels in raw poultry. Who was the biggest donor to Trump's inauguration fund? Pilgrim’s Pride — one of the largest chicken processors in the country. See how this works?

Cautionary tale for any UK-US trade deal that includes agricultural access.

Read this again & again “A U.S. citizen child suffering from a rare form of metastatic cancer was deported without medication or the ability to consult with their treating physicians–despite ICE being notified IN ADVANCE of the child’s urgent medical needs.” Depravity

It takes a massive brass neck to have your administration attack another president for being disrespectfully dressed in a meeting and then turn up to the pope's funeral in a blue suit.

Whether it's Hillary Clinton sharing risotto tips on a private server or Pete Hegseth using the nuclear codes as his password on Pornhub, both parties have ignored our nation's security.

Taking a moment on this day to remember Mr. Saul and Mr. Abe, two brothers with fading numbers on their arms who I knew only as the kind old men at the park who tolerated an annoying little kid and taught him checkers and chess.

Why are we not doing this? Never seen a more "no brainer" policy. Even people who are the most strongly opposed to immigration tend not to object to top scientists coming here.

🤦🏼 couldn’t make it up if we tried

One of the most shocking things I have read for a while: t.co/lg46ijHLDF

The reality 👇

www.theguardian.com/environment/... This is excellent news for anyone who takes the threat of climate change seriously. “UK scientists to launch outdoor geoengineering experiments”

Robert Wolf on Fox News: "I've been in finance for 40 years. This is probably the biggest manufactured crisis I've seen with a bunch of unforced errors. The execution of 'liberation day' was pathetic."

Walz: If you say you love freedom but you don't believe freedom is for everybody, then the thing you love is not freedom, it is privilege.

Note the shift in messaging from "90 deals in 90 days" to "we have 18 proposals on paper"

"How the Trump administration’s “shock and awe” approach has resulted in its litigation being shockingly awful; the US govt is on the back-foot in its own courts because it is not thinking strategically" By David Allen Green (@davidallengreen.bsky.social) davidallengreen.com/2025/04/how-...

Oh, this is fun.
