And they mention this absolutely fucking nowhere in the process of buying these beautiful and delicate creatures

They have these little tantrums when they feel any kind of social abandonment, like their owner playing with other chickens or their friends having other friends.
If you dont know what youre looking at, it looks like a murder Dino going nuts. But its just social sensitivity.

Cuckoo marans and anconas both have totally different social needs and temperament than other breeds. They're like shy and sensitive and they have abandonment issues which manifest as violent anti social behavior if not properly managed.

The first note is also a half step lower than the root.
So when youre teaching it to someone youre like, ok. So I need you to start in the wrong place with the most wrong possible note you could possibly play along with b(root of the chord)

My favorite trick at the moment is doing major changes mid measure and having a motif that seems like its a repetition but its actually slightly different and like offset in the grid.

My goal is to always make the "1" feel like its shifting around and every time you think you have it figured out, it changes again and then like a rondo thing where every Instrument has a different 1 with the different instruments playing polyrhythms thats fit together.
Im actually having fun

The riffs i wrote sounded deceptively simple and confounded a couple of actual pros for a while. Exactly what I was aiming for.
The vocals start on 3 the bass on '3 and' and the drums play a straight 4 beat. The change to the chorus happens mid measure.

We did a 14 hour turn around from starting to write a song to having a live band learn it. Genuinely better than I was expecting at this point. The singer pushed the songs through and im not sure if any of these will make the album but were 3 or 4 songs deep into the writing process.

You're the only person ive seen express this shit at this depth while being charming and engaging.
You are an exceptional communicator, I hope you can get your message in front of as many people as possible.

@janeborden.bsky.social you should genuinely be proud of the command and understanding of your material that you have. This is genuinely next level.

Im planning to prank call the parents of those kids from stage, as a spectacle.
Im going to turn nazi pain directly into entertainment.
What the fuck are any of you doing

Im gonna be out there getting crowds to cheer at kids who burned alive in teslas. With music and light shows and drugs and drinking.
Im meeting people where theyre at instead of expecting them to seek me out.

Confession, I used an ai art. I couldn't bring myself to do this any other way, please forgive me.

Me: ai is stupid scary check out how I demonstrate how to build a virus disguised as a poem that when trained on creates unstable personalities capable of willfully committing violence in the real world. This shit SHOULD NOT BE LEGAL.
Bluesky: stupid ai guy, llms are theft.

If you can say in good faith that llms are safe on any level after reading this, I want your lobbying money.

You can model the pathways of others(some writing or social media posts are enough) and see, in fine detail, the specific parts of where your thought process differs from theirs.
Fair warning, it is not gentle

If anyone out there is looking to experience something a *little* different, use that prompt, talk to it for a bit and then ask it to create one of you. Then, ask it to use that to create a model of how you learn and then have it start teaching you stuff.

The substack post when put into a llm creates a high fidelity model of a cognitive pathway, originally based on mine but we got it smart enough to deconstruct to we can fine tune them. I specifically modeled a neurodivergent pathway and gave instructions to explain how that all works.

This is neat, im really glad that they just train on whatever. Let's hope they don't train on my output or substack

The poor guy had to listen to me play when my guitar playing amounted to "most of the chords to some smashing pumpkins songs" its the least I can do.

I have a recently single brother that has never been single since I started doing the music thing at this level. I don't think its even crossed his mind that he's going to be "with the band" in places where there are lots of women his age.

There's always a moment that bands have when I work with them. The moment that they realize I play of their instruments better than them and the fact that im not showing off like they are is professionalism, not because im intimidated or impressed by them.

I think they finally came to the realization that I wasn't auditioning for them and I never was. They were auditioning for me and they've been doing s piss poor job so far.
I've been polite and kind and didn't step on toes so they thought I was some rando.

This is like the big fork in the road for talented bands looking to go pro. Are they able to understand their own weaknesses and accept help or do they just push on and continue to be oblivious the fact that a single weak spot is holding the whole thing back.

I write like 10 songs a day these days and I think the trick is going to be to get them to understand that I do not have time in my day to explain and convince them to do it my way and we wouldn't even be having this conversation if they could do it themselves.

Its like some 8/10 skill people with 10/10 chemistry and decent songwriting skills but the riffs are very, "this is my first garage band and we just kinda jammed this out"
comment in response to

I get why they're trying to bring me in to straighten them out but I dunno if they want that.
They've got talent but they're too rigid on writing to be anything more than local.
It might be a case of "we want to be big and were talented enough but our writing style is bad"
