I think the 2024 rules update left a bitter taste in a lot of people’s mouths, I definitely noticed an uptick in other games at the tables. Lancer and Blades in the Dark were my fav to play with in the last year

I'm sure Larian was kept on a leash by Hasbro/Wizards of the Coast, but it's wild to me that the improvements made to actual dnd 5e through the books weren't included in BG3 and they went with the 2014 version of things. Not on everything, but on some of the biggest pain points, like the dragonborn.
