Similarly, Steve put out a public statement giving reasons why Flash is not coming on mobile Safari and making a bet in the process when Flash reigned supreme. For all the talk on how transformative AI will be, Sundar has very little to say let alone laying out a coherent vision for the web.

and didn't inspire much confidence in what they were doing. I might be comparing Apples to Oranges here but Steve Jobs announcing the iPhone was confident enough to say 1% market share is what Apple is going for. Compare that to what Sunday said about the XR.

Do you reckon DLSS will be done on a case by case basis or that NVIDIA is marketing this from their point of view?

I also suggest you make the argument from a position of strength. You are an economist. You have an ability to explain how the economy works in layman's terms. What was eye opening to me was explaining how money flow in a closed system. Between government debt, income tax, rich wealth, rich benefit.

Thank you for the representation Gary! I'd say in a panel like this, it helps to have counterarguments on talking points (will not work, rich will leave, grow economy) that you have already talked on YT. Tax profits on addressable UK market, tax UK based assets, how GDP has increased since 60s.

Recently @theverge.com added a subscription. @reckless.bsky.social has been talking for ages on the importance of attracting & winning over your readers outside of social media & search engines. I wonder whether using AI to generate & report on news/content will drive people back to trusted sources.

How much do you think it is a result of democratising "journalism". Quotes since most content creators reporting on news etc have nostalgic studied journalism or have a relevant background. Having said that, I get a sense we are slowly coming full circle.

The only "problem" is that iPhone is the personal computer that the vast majority of users has access to. Not the Mac. Furthermore, mobile is a much better computing platform to innovate on compared to the desktop. I am an Apple Developer dying to write software on Apple platforms and still won't.
