It's not even a heist - they're just going to walk in there and steal from the military.

It means he's going to Ft. Knox to steal the gold. He's planning to steal from our military.

Republicans parading an old man out on camera only for him to have CVAs live in front of the entire press pool is not exactly a show of strength and party viability. Besides, they don't need him anymore.

He had a direct hand in opening the door for fascism when he chose Palin, made no effort to correct his party, nor did he defect from the party. You may want to look into some of the policies he supported. He didn't have to be an extremist to have helped, he just had to stand by his party.

Polygraphs don't even hold up in court. All this admin knows they learned from Hollywood, not real life. We should all be relieved (in some part) for how supremely stupid they are.

And yet it happened anyway, it never stopped, and now they're refilling Guantanamo Bay.

He HAS been impeached. Twice. Impeachment doesn't mean removal, and he needs to be REMOVED.

You're really going to spend your time posting about this dumb thing? Do better. Cover the important things.

Bannon haaaaaaaaaaaaates Musk. He's so utterly jealous. I can't wait to see how that trio works against each other.

...And yet...

I mean, yes, but it was literally when he was on his way out the door. Like Mike Pence speaking up only when he had nothing else to lose, or Mitch McConnell giving a no vote when he was on his way out the door. It's like Godzilla planting a flower after destroying Tokyo.

We are on the last threads of having Rule of Law. And once you realize that, you'll realize how fully fucked we are until more people start doing something about it.

Trump installed 3 of the SCOTUS justices, who are entirely unqualified to be there and already gave him carte blanche to break the law. They won't reign him in, and no police are coming for him. We're in uncharted waters now.

Thank Boomers for the debt. What they couldn't afford they borrowed & borrowed & left it to their kids and grand-kids (GenX & Millennials) to foot the bill. Boomers promised a world their kids would never get to see, and it's gotten worse for subsequent generations. (It's why GenX is so angry.)

Only ONCE did McCain give a weak, half-hearted defense when a supporter called Obama an "Arab." I'll put money on it she's not worried about Elon being an actual immigrant though. [I have nothing against immigrants, just pointing out the hypocrisy.] But yeah, McCain's policies were pretty 💩.

That was simmering racism in America the entire time. Palin just gave them permission to say it out loud and normalized it in politics.

Yep. He admitted his regret and poor decision in his book, too. Remember when Republicans admitted when they were wrong? They even used to step down back then. ("Back then" only like 15 years ago, haha.)

Mostly they're under-educated, which makes them more susceptible to bad information because it FEELS right to them (See: Stephen Colbert's "Truthiness), and they lack critical thinking skills required to spot snake oil salesmen.

Bannon had an enormous hand in luring in the gamer, incel, 4Chan, MGTOW, red pill, etc. crowd. Trump definitely couldn't have done that on his own. He wasn't savvy enough, but Bannon slithered in there with Breitbart and podcasts. And BOY HOWDY does Bannon hate Musk.

Hopefully they can be found, and I hope they'll speak out.

I don't disagree. McCain had standards for himself, but he also chose to open Pandora's Box.

Nowhere did I equate them, but there is a direct line from one to the other.

This is not a screw up - it's completely on purpose. He did it to Twitter, now he's doing it to the nation.

I'm sure that was part of the narrative, so that's probably why you've remembered it that way. McCain's age played a role - just as Trump and Biden's did in the elections. So he pranced her out there to show he could reach younger people.

The country decided it wasn't too soon. The last thing we needed was another Republican after 8 years of Bush/Cheney.

He selected her. What's more - he was flippant about it and knew the cost. You can read about it here, on Wiki, and other places. www.theguardian.com/books/2022/f...

I don't like Trump as much as the next person, but it's important to give reliable info. Nate Silver's data is pretty much the gold-standard; there is no indication of an approval ratings collapse. I've been looking for it, and it's not happening. projects.fivethirtyeight.com/polls/approv...

Are you serious?? McCain opened the door for this when he chose Sarah Palin as a running mate. Palin's call for political violence led to the shooting of Sen Gabby Giffords, and she fully supported the Tea Party. The Tea Party was the violent ultra right that led straight to Trump.

I'm sure they also cheered when you voted to confirm Marco Rubio.

And what do you suppose we do with people who have no shame? Because that's literally where we're at. They don't care. You can't shame them. Now what?

Dems have the chance to win back congress in a NARROW margin - but they need your help! Pay attention to the upcoming special elections! Tip the balance back! Donate, volunteer, door knock - get involved! We don't have to wait til midterms!
