Pay attention to which local news stations are reporting what you’re actually seeing locally. If they are reporting the exact opposite, beware. Seek out information from many different platforms!

You asked if there was “the slightest whiff of Hamas on this guy.” Yes, yes there is.

It’s a guest book at the Barnard library. The pamphlets are authored by “Hamas Media Office.”When he organized and become a spokesperson for violent protesters, he ran the risk of being tied to their terrorist viewpoints. Given he’s not a US citizen and has a pregnant wife, bad decision.

After learning more I see he was also at Barnard last week. Handing out pamphlets written by the Hamas Media Office. Flyers of Sinwar were hung on the wall. “Death to America” was written in the library guest book and on the walls. A puppet of an admin was hung by a noose.

I know a family that brought their student home from Columbia in April, then transferred schools this year. The environment wasn’t conducive to education. Anyone paying that amount for tuition deserves better.

I have no problem with peaceful law abiding protests. By US citizens. You don’t go to another country and make demands and incite violence.

He organized UNLAWFUL protests and tent encampments and sent a list of demands to the school. Would you go to another country and do these things?

He’s a guest in this country and broke the law. I would never go to another country and protest and incite violence.
