Since avatar is being talked about alot I want to go over one of the criticisms for Korra I cant stand. Korra did not willingly give up her past lives. She fought as much as she could to prevent that. I don't understand the people who blame the victim for being victimized.

I'm glad that theres a new avatar series coming out but why did they have to do Korra like that? Girl gets enough hate as is. She deserved a peaceful life after what she had to go through. Then they decide to kill her young and have her be blamed for a calamity.

I've been watching Frieren Beyond Journeys end and it's a really good anime. I know theres action in it but it gives me an adventure slice of life vibe. The magic system is cool. I also love the idea of an ancient being retracing a Journey that was important to them.

I beat Forspoken last night. It was a good game. The story was interesting but I forsaw the "twist". The combat was fun. I felt like the world was a bit too open. There was a lot of map to explore which felt overwhelming at times. I kinda want to get the dlc but I might wait for a sale.

In videogames, picking up stuff to read and listening to audio logs isn't "bad" storytelling. It's supplementary info/worldbuilding and sometimes just meant to be fun. A metric ton of dialogue doesn't always make great narrative make but fleshes out the kind of world you're in. There's cines too.

PSN being down has gamers unable to play games they "own" digitally and it's exactly why I've always advocated so much for physical media. The path is laid out already, but I don't think the convenience was worth it. You should be able to play a game you purchased ANY time you want. Period.
