Fun fact according to Douglas Goodall they actually planned on having more romancable NPC's in the game that never made it in. Although we do not know how many were planned we know that Borwen was meant to be one of them, and they all were supposed to have ties to Master Trainers

Absolutely love the art style!

I'd love to buy just the art book, but because it includes some DLC content steam doesn't allow you to purchase it without owning the game itself

Not much caught my interest this season, I think Dragon Ball Daima was the last show I watched live. I would however strongly recommend High Score Girl from 2018

Those still attempt to look similar to the previous games, the art styles changed, but they don't look like unrealated property.
As for how many games I've seen, well I certainly didn't play all pf them, but I did play most of the games with Madou Monogatari in the title, and those :

You can at a glace go "this looks like Mado Monogatari" you can draw in "Madou Monogatari style". same can not be said for Fio, it takes away half of the charm of the franchise, which would still be okay if it also didn't completely change character roster when the franchise was meant to come back

While I could to a certain extent agree that the designs of the old games look more unique now than they did then. To a certain extent. When it comes to modern games - we have Puyo Puyo Tetris designs that, frankly - peak design direction, and those don't really look at odds with Sega Saturn

Unfortunately, the artist doesn't matter as much as the art itself in this case. It's by no means bad art, it's great art. But it looks like every anime game on the market unfortunately. It doesn't at all look like Madou Monogatari, halfway through the trailer I was checking if I misread the title

Also worth noting that if we check on Nintendo Japan the numbers change as follows :
1. Tomodachi Life - 1.4M views
2. Pokemon ZA - 1.1 M views
3. Rythm Heaven - 915k views

Same here, I keep hoping I will see something I haven't noticed before. No luck so far, but who knows, maybe the next time ^^'
I am however very happy to see the trailer absolutely broke all Nintendo records in Japan, gives me hope we will get more trailers before the game releases

No, all of the games shown on this direct were for Switch 1, Switch 2 annoucements will be the next week
(but we will have backwards compatibility, so it's safe to assume you can play it on 2 if you want to)

Yeah, Tomodachi Life is my most wanted title on the Switch. I'll accept it being a Switch 2 launch title too

Yeah, I for sure agree with that. Daggerfall released at a time where it felt like technology wasn't quite there yet to achieve what it wanted. But we had the necessary technology for 2 decades now, and we still didn't have a single game try to do what Daggerfall did

I mean, look at Fnaf, despite the games being paid releases Scott was confident that the fanbase will know the game is live, he not only provided release dates on a very short notice, there were a couple times he went "hey, the game was supposed to release in two weeks, but it's going live now"

To be fair, they actually do not even need to announce the Pokemon Direct, a couple years ago February 27th was announced an OFFICIAL NATIONAL HOLIDAY in Japan known as the Pokemon Day. So yeah, technically announcement of the direct is just a formality, we know when it will be every year ^^

I'll be honest, I'm just scrolling the comments to see if I should know who Tenna is. So far the results are inconclusive

Honestly, I think it would be a very fun read if you could share with us some, the more interesting bits, of the tester feedback after Chapters 3 and 4 are released.
Would be really fun to compare the tester experience with final release

Still, the point is that the save in chapter 4 will be in the light world. Not in the dark world - and there's probably going to be a good reason as to why Toby was convinced to let people save there despite it going against the world building, I'm looking forward to it ^^
comment in response to
post
People overanalyze every tiny detail in those games, Toby is also making said details have meaning. Saves in Undertale exist in universe. While Deltarune doesn't have to follow that, there's a clear distinction between the "real" world of light and the "game" world of dark - saving in the real world

I'm still a Q1 believer ngl, we'll see how it goes

But, I would like to bring your attention the post does not say "save points in the light world" it says, "save points in chapter 4 light world"
Despite 3 and 4 coming out in the same update, only 4 gets them, and 1 and 2 remain saveless - there seems to be a reason for player to need the save in 4

In his case however he was big enough that when he found out about it and made a video on it, suddenly it turned out that "it was just a mistake" but most people don't have enough presence make YouTube back down

I would like to believe it, and if you have sources for it I'd gladly read through them, but unfortunately in my experience it's consistent with what I have seen in the past
I occasionally watch channels that outright don't appear on search, even ProZD had a video just disabled from the algorithm
