I remember playing Elvira Pinball! It was my favourite pinball at the only arcade in town before it closed down. Though I may have been partial due to playing Elvira: Mistress of the Dark video game on our Commodore Amiga.

I do too, actually. I find editing sort of like a puzzle I need to solve. You know those spot the differences pictures, or 'what is missing from this picture' activities? Then I get to actually fix them. It's oddly soothing. Everything I need is there, I just need to arrange it better.

This makes me think of a story I wrote ages ago, let collect dust, then re-read. As a more mature person, I discovered a theme in it I had no idea was there. Then I wrote a new draft (18 years later) that put more emphasis on that theme. So I get what you're saying. I hope.

Congratulations! That's an achievement. Now for the fun part. Edits.

Handwriting really is a lost art. I still sometimes use cursive, but not often. I started writing letters by hand to someone, and due to a lack of confidence in my cursive, printed with block letters. Is it sad I want to buy a book like that and circulate it among teenagers?

I miss having a decent Mexican restaurant in town. They made excellent margaritas. And horchata! Though since I don't drink alcohol I always ordered virgin Margaritas, but my brother-in-law who isn't a teetotaller said they were the best he'd had as well. Going to look up cotija now.

As others noted, a lot of them are based off of JRPGs. Then there's isekai. By treating everything like D&D players using meta reasoning, it really lowers the stakes. It was quaint once or twice when played for comedic effect, but played straight it falls flat.

It's a good thing people didn't walk around with video recorders in their pockets when I saw the Howling. Despite being a wee thing (maybe 4 or 5) I watched The Howling with my family. Apparently I tried to turn into a werewolf, complete with convulsing my face. Ah, memories. Thanks for that.

I am feeling called out here.

Is that a sour Fruit by the Foot type thing skewed in the drink? And what's dusted on the rim of the glass? This whole concept intrigues yet bewilders me.

My older siblings got Final Fantasy Tactics because they liked Ogre Battle and Tactics Ogre. At first I had no interest in any of them. But one day I saw one of the actual plot scenes in Final Fantasy Tactics and became intrigued and rethought my first opinion on all of them. "Liberation!"

One word: allergies. I am a tortured soul.

Well as a novelist who doesn't read books, yes, yes I do feel this frustration. Sometimes when you create content you lose out on time enjoying that very content until you finish your project.

Reminds me of seeing "The Naked Communist" on my Grandmother's bookshelf and wondered how it got there. Wait. This isn't the same thing at all.

Certainly. People wandering around could stress out plenty of your patients. And I certainly don't need to be present for a pet being neutered. But regular old check-ups or minor lab work, I think it's great to involve the client as well as the patient when feasible.

I spend such a long time on writing posts, because I write everything I want to say, then have to pare it down. I hope eventually to start with more streamlined comments.

I advocate transparency in veterinary care. I'd often ask to go with my pet into the exam room. I recall being shown how to palpate my 17yo cat's kidneys. Being part of check-ups helped me take better care of her. I was there when she was euthanised, too. I knew she was given the best care.

I was going to say I miss M.U.L.E. then realised that was from the 80's and not DOS. Ooops.

I second playing these, but especially Final Fantasy Tactics. It had a very different feel from most of the other Final Fantasy Games of the time, beyond just a difference in battle mechanics. It is still one of my favourite games for its War of the Roses based plot and political intrigue.

Don't even try to explain it to someone who has played Kingdom Hearts. Because someone did. And I still don't understand any of it.

I remember when a simple video game was ground breaking. Because of a few insanely budgeted games blowing all other games out of the water, it raises the expectation for all games, even in genres where those specs aren't necessary. I just enjoy what I enjoy and to heck to negative Nancies.

That cardinal is a the boss. I approve. Reminds me if when I organize my M&M's by colour and someone dares to snag any before I am done eating the browns. Less pecking and more hand slapping, but same rules apply.

To be fair, so many things have become political, I know it is hard to avoid altogether. I'm interested in writing and books. So of course i keep seeing this thing about Schumer's book tour. Meanwhile, ignorant Non-US person doesn't know or care who Schumer is. :) I'll find my way. Thanks.

Despite most farming Sims not being generational, there is a reason why the two are connected. In agrarian societies, owning land was status. People often wanted to keep that land in their family. So getting married and having children was part of the grand plan. Also, you know, unpaid labour.

You sound like my sister. She is always being bested by fall damage in video games. I admit, it trips me up sometimes too. But fall damage is our bane when we play together. Which is why she started to enjoy the Monster Hunter games because no fall damage!

Indeed. I see too much politics. I didn't select politics as an interest. It at least got the animal and writers interest correct. So many cat pictures. I gave up on Facebook long ago. Didn't join any other social medias until now. Now I need to actually push myself and get this ball rolling.

I don't mind a piece of story that has its convictions and sticks with it. I admire it. Even if I disagree with it. Bit I may be in the minority. But, yes, I find this gray haze of cynicism is making me weary.

This is my plan. But then I got interrupted by dinner. Thanks for acknowledging my existence and giving friendly advice all the same.

I see what you did there. That said, I always feel the need for a nice breather after something grim and dark. After all, the darkness isn't all that dark without light. And cheese. I do prefer my cheese light and not overly pungent. I'm a shame to cheese connoisseurs, aren't I?
