My man did not just compare vital human needs to art, did he? Games aren't as important as steel or grain. The point stands. Games can lean either way. You could go Postal 2 or MGS3. Last I checked, the distribution of consoles wasn't ever covered in either of those games.

There is a distinct difference between politics in a game vs outside of it. It's not sentient. It doesn't decide where or where it doesn't get sold.

I am so obviously talking about the games themselves and not the consoles or industry.

I'd get a steam deck so I don't have to pay for my internet that I own.

Don't understand how that's moving the goalpost. Games can be political, but the post went after a console, not a game.

I remember Billy Wilder saying that it's not a job for a dignified human being.

Normal sounds to me like everyone being able to love and marry whoever they want. Any deviation doesn't sound normal to me. I'm hetero so I can't possibly imagine, but to me, it sounds like harmful nonsense that's good for no one. Again, I'm hetero so I'm unsure how much my words mean here.

Wait for a bit. The 9070 xt is nowhere near MSRP rn.

It's nice! Having a meaning outside of my control sounds scary.

Yup. I usually think of a cool shot and the entire process is trying to justify it

"Nothing in common" so dodging projectiles and more open levels is not classic doom?
comment in response to post
Well actually it's a sequel to doom 64 🤓☝️

This is pretty silly to say given that Doom 2016 had unskippable cutscenes having to do with the slayer and yet eternal, the game that leaves most of the lore to codex pages is accused of this.
comment in response to post
> every new doom game is based on the assumption we all hated Doom 2016. Both the theoretical assumption and this statement is not true at all. If you've seen a single interview with Hugo Martin, you'd know he's open to experimenting with doom and different kinds of pressure.

I don't want to feel like I'm pressuring you, but if those are the games you're going for, I insist you build a PC instead. You can have all the simplicity of console gaming and the performance benefits + productivity benefits. If you can clear out just a day, you'll have a great pc.

You should build a PC instead. You can spend that $500 on a really decent 1080p rig and you won't have hardware restrictions! Just some advice if you're strapped for cash and want to get into gaming for a cheap price. You can dm me if you go with pc and want some help.
