Why only bad choices? It seems to be straight forward. Judges should hold administration officials in contempt when their orders are ignored, and there should be punitive consequences.

Agree, but I would just add that positions and critiques by leftist activists need no validation by so-called “centrists” or right wingers. I would argue that leftist and progressive policy positions could be the most correct, across the board, and in any issue.

Bingo!

Here’s what’s going to happen: the ongoing incitement and provocations by the regime will generate protests of increased intensity. When the protests reach a certain level, Trump will invoke the Insurrection Act, followed by martial law. Right wing vigilantes will join the fray as well.

I’ve been writing this for years: The role of corporate Democrats (the party establishment) is to play interference on behalf of the fascist Republican Party. They are both owned and controlled by billionaires, corporate cartels, and war profiteers.

Why are you giving a platform to fascists?

I think there are other, much better, and quicker solutions to that problem.

It’s not conflict avoidance. It’s complicity. The neoliberal Corporate Democrats are owned by billionaires and corporate cartels, just like the fascist Republicans.

That is the likely scenario.

I’ve said this throughout the years. Democrats are ineffective in their “resistance” not because they risk-adverse, and not even because they’re craven. It is because they are owned and controlled by their corporate donors. It’s because they are neoliberal corporate Democrats.

I’ve had him pegged for years. I knew he was a phony. I call him Fav Gav.

He knows exactly what he’s doing. He’s been able to bend all institutions to his will, and is very close to achieving his long term goal of setting the stage for a fascist putsch. Next step: civil unrest, invocation of Insurrection Act, martial law, and fascist coup.

Humbly, I have to say that not only was I expecting this very situation for years, but I’m pretty confident about the next steps: (provoked) civil unrest, followed by invocation of Insurrection Act, martial law, and a final fascist putsch.

Thanks for the feedback. I may add: I think this is a plan that’s been in the making for a long time. Invoke the Insurrection Act, declare martial law, and set the stage for a fascist putsch. Heavily armed right wing vigilantes (J6, etc.) will play a role. They’ve been preparing for this moment.

It is indeed intentional. The goal is to destabilize the system enough to create civil unrest and use that as a pretext to invoke the Insurrection Act.

One that made the entire system bend to his will, and who is now setting the stage for a final fascist putsch.

How disappointing to see Canada fold this easily.
