It can be something for later for sure. Biggest things to listen for are
1. Having to crank the volume to hear anything - you need more power, which usually means an amp
2. Electrical interference noise - you need a better source, which means a DAC
Both can be solved with one combined unit

I recommend the Sennheiser HD560S. Fits all your criteria, it's open backed (so no chance of weird noises when you move them), and they sound great.

I want to say kobold, as a long time kobold myself, but then I realized that it'd be misinterpreted as "your partner is the kobold guy so you should be one", so... I guess I can't really suggest that
