I hate that my first thought was of the Apple Watch Edition, and they were doing some insanely expensive version of the new console
comment in response to post
Ah! Nevertheless it’s a game changer. Glad you can see better now.

“Progressive lenses” lessens the old man sting just a smidge.

Castlevania 2

Also I saw an interview with Milchick’s actor where he said he chose *that* type of “celebration” as a way to assert his blackness. Great stuff.
comment in response to post
I’m pleased to report I enjoyed it immensely. Satisfying and thematically resonant.
comment in response to post
Nope not at all. If they got to where they are now in like ep 4 or 5, we could explore how Milchick’s plan has blown up in his face esp wrt Dylan.
comment in response to post
The premise of the show screams 1-2 seasons to me. But nope, more grist for the mill. Also, remember when Dylan was funny?
comment in response to post
I’m convinced it’ll have to do with death and/or her and Mark’s hypothetical child. But then again I feel like any kind of speculation with this show sets up for further disappointment

100%. I don’t even know what Cold Harbor could be at this point that would be satisfying? I’m sure it won’t be BAD but it’s wild how much uncertainty they’ve generated in me.
comment in response to post
Like what even IS reintegration at this point?
comment in response to post
One thousand percent agreed. Ep 7 was an all-timer and now I have serious doubts that they’re gonna nail the finale.
comment in response to post
A) at gunpoint I couldn’t tell you anything about what happened in DS1 and B) couldn’t agree more about bosses. I think The End was the peak of crazy Kojima shit.
comment in response to post
Agreed, literally nothing like it out there. Also, for this point in history this is a perfect tagline. I’d love if DS2 explored the fall out of all the dystopian AI shit he predicted in MGS2
comment in response to post
Some grade-A Kojima Brand Bullshit™️ in that trailer, and I’ll still check it out, but the gameplay looks kind of unchanged from the first one? As an idea DS is great and I’m glad it exists but it never landed for me like MGS did.

Nightcap, night shirt, candle. Can’t beat the classics.

Hell yeah @mollyknight.bsky.social, he really is. What a post season he had.

Finished Great Circle. Excellent.
comment in response to post
I went back to Skull after Dial of Destiny and was shocked at how not terrible Skull is. Great Circle absolutely slaps, btw.

Zion as Fatman or am I just taking cheap shots?

No Duckfeed??

Fuckin’ A, Jamelle. First thing I thought of with that scene was MGS2. We could then discuss the Zola AI as well…

Makes sense. Fixed is better for interiors, free for jungle. I do find the fixed camera fairly charming, if not implemented well.
comment in response to post
Subsistence or original fixed camera? Both have their pros and cons but I think I like the free camera better.

There were Marathon references in Halo 3 I believe.

That Apple is “thiiiiiis close” to figuring out gaming has been a thing for decades. Not happening (said as an Apple homer)

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle giving me all sorts of Ghostbusters game vibes (uncanny valley “sequel”), but that team rules. Can’t wait to see what they do with it. (Though, hot take, I was a bit disappointed with the New Colossus.)

Ooooh I did not know there was a Super Potato tax. Guess it’s good I didn’t bring home a bunch of Metal Gear MSX games I could never play.

Would also like to add, this Is pretty much the greatest videogame trailer of all time youtu.be/cq6L1HV5gz4?...
comment in response to post
Post-modern masterpiece. And obviously, the entire ending dialog from GW has pretty much come true.
comment in response to post
Was just assuming. Again with the apocryphal stuff, no one ever confirmed why it wasn’t in anything after 4, the internet just assumed Kojima removed it out of embarrassment so maybe/hopefully Konami doesn’t care and keeps it in.
comment in response to post
100%. Just pay the license man. It’s gonna stick out like a sore thumb when it’s not in Delta
comment in response to post
Here’s the tune. To be fair it’s…remarkably similar lol youtu.be/vYQQ1PZHF8U?...
comment in response to post
Oh wow really? Yeah man. A guy played this old Russian song for Kojima at a signing and the apocryphal story is he was so embarrassed that he removed the song from future games. youtu.be/9k7DrIWcrdI?...
comment in response to post
Curse the fucking guy who played the “original” song for Kojima.

Wouldn’t ppl cancelling their Prime subscriptions en masse hurt Bezos more? Or not even since he’s no longer CEO.
