Today I watched a video in which the Governor of Iowa Jodi Ernst snidely pretend she didn’t understand that cuts to Medicaid would cause people to die. She then sarcastically used Jesus as a human shield for her total lack of morality. She is an evil person who doesn’t care who dies.

The plantation burning down gave me the chance to tell my 8-yr old granddaughter about slavery, Harriet Tubman, and the Underground Railroad. I don’t know when they teach that in school, or even if they still do, but either way, she now knows the truth (on an age appropriate level).
