NO.... me and you though tariffs. The billionaires are buying exemptions just to stay in business and they will STILL raise their prices (even though they are tariff exempt) and make new billions off of us.

I think he and his fam are selling tariff exemptions left and right. It is about personal gain PERIOD.. the ego boost is a PERK.

I really don't think that if I owned a business with American Made products I would keep my product priced LOW. Why would I? I don't have to? What is the incentive to do that? THE PRICES OF EVERYTHING WILL GO UP! EVERYTHING!

I have not seen the complete list yet. Are you sure???

The tariffs are the staging for an international grift. As we speak I feel certain that Trump and kids are selling exemptions to companies that will STILL RAISE THEIR PRICES. SCOTUS has made it legal for Trump.

THAT GOES FOR EMHOFF AND KAMLA (MY SOROR) TOO!!

@karaswisher.bsky.social They are going together to try to get a discount on the deals to bribe him (or his kids) for their exemptions! After they acquire them they will still raise prices. What is Ivanka getting as an exemption for her China made apparel? What are her prices doing?

This is where the press becomes of use to the citizens... name the aides who participated in this farce! If NOTHING ELSE... let those who want to help Trump bring the nation down be held accountable for their role in the fiasco. They should be encouraged to self deport once we know who they are.

True but what is NOT illegal now is for Trump and family to sell tariff exemptions behind the scenes. The corps buying them will still raise prices ridiculously. WHOSE TO STOP EITHER THE POTUS OR THE CEO's??
comment in response to

Yes.... meanwhile, Trump and family and friends will continue to sell tariff exemptions to mega corps behind the scenes who will then ... accept the exemption they purchased AND raise prices (gouge) so as not to make it obvious. It is a crime free for all. THANKS SCOTUS! @lawrenceodonnell.msnbc.com

@jenkat57.bsky.social YEP! Fabuletics returned almost $4000.00 to my aunt (age 80) after they billed her card for 5 years for a subscription she did not know she had and NEVER USED. THANK YOU CFPB!

Time for the media to stop acting as though there is significance in ANYTHING said at the briefings. Having the WH tell you what is up is a nice true free shortcut but it was never necessary. TELL THE NEWS. HIT THE GROUND AND DO SOME WORK. GET IT THE HARD WAY! Spend time/money asking all around.

MLK would have failed were it not for Malcolm and the Black Panthers! Contrast forces are a useful tool in negotiations. whiney little people complaining about the Dems not joining into ONE message and collapsing the efforts being undertaken.

You can't be more correct @jenkat57.bsky.social ! Our prob is that repubs work ON ALL FRONTS AT ONCE from the school board to the white house letting individs pick their issue. Our side keeps whining about a "unified message", thus squabbling and floundering! We need to be strong ON EVERY FRONT!

I've said it a thousand times.... The US Government is not supposed to be a business! It's mission is distinctly different! It financial goals are different! I wish @maddow.msnbc.com or @lawrenceodonnell.msnbc.com would do a show or two defining these things! Maybe @stephruhle.bsky.social could.

Jefferies worries me. Any leader that does not seem to appreciate that they must fight on one front (the higher ground) yet be supportive of those who are willing to take it to the enemy cannot, imho, be very effective.

I CANNOT get on this bandwagon until she CLEARLY indicated that all the crap her dad AND SHE did led us to this place!
I love Nicole Wallace because she owed her role in this. When will Liz do that?

I cannot think of a single thing Russia would want to do differently if they wanted to take over this country. NOT ONE SINGLE THING!

I agree. It is a joke! AND... PLEASE do not forget that since the labor costs are higher here the prices would still be up for us little guys if they moved production to our shores! Moreover, we are a saturated consumer market. They moved the jobs to let the billions there afford the goods. Duh

I don't know that court. Robbs? Where is it? What level? Given how the SCOTUS just treated the district court ruling this week (buying time for Trump/Musk) what will happen with the Robbs Court decisions?

@maddow.msnbc.com To what end? Is Musk somehow dependent on his interests in Tesla?

I keep looking for where the government was dismantled before. We have resisted THROUGH OUR TRUSTED AND RESPECTED systems and succeeded. Civil rights movements acted through courts with integrity. Who do we act through now?

I think the Trumpsters want to be rich like Trump and Musk. I do not think they give a damn how they got that way. NOR do they care what principles might have to be compromised to get or stay that rich. They certainly are not dreaming about making the kind of effort that is made to stay that rich

The enthusiasm of this anti-Tesla plan puzzle me. Is there ANY reason to believe that Musk gets more from Tesla than he can rape the US government for? I don't see that. Something massively more effective is needed.

I would like for someone to explain to me what judicial enforcement mechanism is NOT in Trumps control now? Charges for "contempt"? Is that it?? Fine them into submission? Shame them? IS THAT ALL WE HAVE LEFT?

TOTALLY AGREE BUT.... we need to engage on all fronts. I would love to focus on what constitutional amendments we need to be working on while you younger healthier people go out there and GET OUR POWER BACK! If we get any bit of power back we need a new SCOTUS and a NO IMMUNITY amendment to start!

Did they get sick of us being wishy washy in their support? Would you trust the purported progressives to get behind them? I would not! Look at the dem senate votes for Trumps nominees!

I get what your point is but in America "we the people" were the POWER of our democracy. We cannot refuse to accept our responsibility for our votes. We did not used to be hapless victims but we are well on our way.

Only the beginning. Maybe we should learn names of those who are killed by this wrong headedness.
