This is a great little resource to sign already made petitions or create your own, and it directly emails/faxes/mails them to your elected officials! Easy peasy Pls consider signing this petition, ty

I watched the PM’s news conference, very powerful and also saddening in a way because Canada has always helped us in all our worst moments. But I’m glad he stood up, and looks like the Premiers are united too. Go Canada! 🍁

American here, so many of us never wanted this. We’re outraged. I’m really sad our Canadian and Mexican neighbors will also pay the price of fascism. Stand strong, Canada! I stand with you 🇨🇦 🇺🇸

Btw I like your profile pic, reminds me of the good ol’ days! And agreed - the impeachment process is horribly flawed, but even if symbolic, it shows the world and our allies we are trying to maintain checks and balances. I think there is still power in symbolism 🤷🏻‍♀️

The time to remain apolitical expired at noon on 1/20/25.

You’re not wrong. But if they receive our cries for help/our outrage en masse, they might be moved to act sooner. Either way, I think it’s better than doing nothing at all. Just my 2¢.

And also pls write/call your congress reps and senators, it’s their duty to represent our best interests. Full stop.

This is the time for a new Democratic Party to rise up and do what the rest of them aren’t willing to do.

I want to say mostly racism, misogyny, transphobia, etc. But part of me wants to also say we should analyze the data bc the numbers in many swing states just don’t add up, esp when plotted in graph form. Maybe I’m still in denial part of grief :(

Thank you for being angry. The second we conform to the status quo and have a nonchalant outlook, that’s when humanity suffers.

Prevention: - Avoid handling sick/deceased birds - Avoid consuming raw eggs, unpasteurized milk, uncooked poultry/beef Rule of thumb… please consult with your provider if you’re concerned. *I will post updates once medical societies publish them for clinicians*

Basics: - No human-to-human transmission yet - Most human cases due to exposure to sick animals - Conjunctivitis is the most reported symptom in US cases (this is not typically seen in seasonal flu)

My mom passed from cervical cancer (related to HPV, not genetic). As a physician myself, I often still wish she had grown up in a time when Gardasil was offered. Don’t believe it, this vaccine saves lives.

I hear you, but citing just one example to question the importance of the NIH’s research to our citizens isn’t fair. I’m a physician, and while I call a spade a spade, overgeneralizing is not the way. HHS/NIH’s clinical trials, cancer research, autoimmune research etc, and publishing data, matters.
