It is good that Schumer is getting on the record. It will be good for history. Schumer does not have that much power right now to do anything. Schumer is still operating from the playbook he knows best.

I have a friend who voted for Trump. They came from deep red PA. I have learned they have voted for Trump/GOP more out of fear than alignment. It’s extortion. Either they vote for the GOP or the GOP will close the only factory in their town and everyone will suffer. Most RED states may be like that.

Neoliberalism seems to be a newer term. I have only heard about it in the last 2-3 years. Its definition seems still in flux.

I think Democrats are trying to help Fetterman so he does not pivot and switch parties.

Great film. It deserves Oscar nominations. It may even win a few.

I guess if there is a backlash the concern is whether the administration will use force and violence against US citizens to get their way. Will our military be used for this? Will the military stand with the people? Or will they use Trump’s own people only to get what they want?

There is core of gun owners that do not trust the government at all, regardless of party affiliation. They will not relinquish their guns at all.

The “end of word” fits in with “the Rapture” narrative Evangelical long for.

Democrats have been slow to get in the fight. I am not sure why. Maybe if they stop worrying about raising money and just do their jobs we could turn this around faster. The voters will know what they did to help and will vote accordingly. Action will lead to support. The fundraising is not needed.

The trend seems to be anything that prevents shareholders from reaching their financial goals they will sue to achieve it. They want their money. Nothing else matters.

This is horrible. They are risking their lives to keep us safe just like everyone else. We should honor their sacrifice. This will be reversed eventually.

The Pope also went to Villanova (Philly).

I am not Catholic either. A new Pope always shifts the world. I think having a social justice focused Pope will help us defeat this authoritarian movement. It gives me some hope.

Movies are internationally made nowadays. How is this going to work?

I think Sinners is, so far, the best picture of the year. Strong contender for Best Picture at the Oscars next year.

Thank you for this segment. I find I am grieving daily for our nation. I struggle pretending everything is OK while it seems everything is burning down around me.

Welcome to Philly. Make sure you get a good cheesesteak. Avoid Pat's and Geno's. Jim's on South Street is good. The Italian Market and Reading Terminal are good for Foodie stuff. Yes, the Phillies play this erratic. They will probably be in the World Series but you would never know it this week.
