Getting pissed off is my superpower. An academic chameleon. Language is reality. Foucault was right/ Chomsky was wrong. I translate for fun. I'm p(r)etty. Unapologetically Queer.

Well technically our governance structure allowed this to happen. Government isn’t important, freedom is important.

This makes me so angry! A human being is not an incubator simply because they have a womb. It’s such terrifying objectification. This is like a horror movie.

History and experience have shown again and again that it is within the most troubling times that we find the most beautiful moments, because they force us from our slumber and demand of us our full humanity.

How is anyone shocked? He promised Tariffs multiple times, and multiple times people were told it would hurt. I just don't know how to feel about the conservatives all of a sudden caring. Racism, xenophobia, homophobia, all ok but mess with the economy and now they care. Bootlickers.

I want to say "Has anyone ever met a problematic Luigi?" But I am terrified of the answers I will get.

As a resident of Indiana I can say the levels of hypocrisy even down to the individual level are horrific here.

I hate all of these people who are trying to somehow find a "cause" for being trans or even autistic, as if it is some kind of disease that you can just wipe out. An alternate lifestyle is not a lesser lifestyle.

As a former service worker I know that gallows humor is what kept us going. Your experience as a bartender I know makes you exceptionally ideal for our current situation and if you ran for president I would not even have to think before voting for you!

I think this will all depend on how much influence he can have over the app. If he doesn't get influence I believe he will let it implode, but if he can get a crony (Musk) to take it over he will immediately put it back up.

I am right there with you. Its just so hard to coordinate anything. I am open to any and all ideas though. Just gotta figure out where to fit, and what to do to save democracy.

I was just talking about this with a friend today. When looking at the whole picture of the US it is very clear we are in a totalitarian state, but here in the local it feels like business as usual. That is a worrisome feeling.

There has to be something we as Americans can do besides vote (I believe in the vote but that is like two years away). Some way of creating a checkin system so when people go missing investigations can start immediately.

I am so tired of the faux-patriotism of the right. They constantly whine that anyone who complains about America should leave, but they complain the most. They only care about the military when they can use them.

Quick question, if a government administration defies the court what are the courts PHYSICALLY able to do to enforce the law? What I more widely mean is if a defendant chooses to defy the court and there are no means of enforcement either through lack of will or resource then what happens?

Northwest Indiana here! If I could vote for you I would. We need a new generation of political leaders. Here in Indiana we desperately need new leadership.

Not that I couldn't see that happening, but is this truthful or sarcastic? There are many people who care that want to know the truth and hopefully find these two safe and sound.

Regardless of whether a crime was committed or not there is still the concept of due process. Innocent until proven guilty by a jury of your peers. The school is collaborating with a fascist regime and must be called out for what they are. I hope they are both alive and safe.

Following for updates. These are troubling times for the academic community. IU has no respect for their staff, their students, or their faculty. (I went to IU). I hope clarity comes soon.
