Getting pissed off is my superpower. An academic chameleon. Language is reality. Foucault was right/ Chomsky was wrong. I translate for fun. I'm p(r)etty. Unapologetically Queer.

Rules and culture shape what we think is possible; whether they are grammar rules, religious morals, cultural norms, or even literary styles, they are still sets of what is considered right and what is considered wrong. Sometimes the rules become so ingrained we forget we are even following them.

What makes me even more upset than the UK high court ruling on gender is the fact that J.K. Rowling was so happy. She has singlehandedly made herself the face of TERFdom, transphobia, and bigotry. We need to boycott her and everything associated with her.

One of my favorite parts of Michel Foucault's History of sexuality. His work on power relationships and discourse analysis have many useful benefits for the present situation we find ourself in. #Foucault #Activism #Rebellion

Be lanterns flashing light in every crevice until the fascists can not hide their actions. As Johnny Cash once sang "You may throw your rock, hide your hand, working in the dark against your fellow man, but as sure as God made black and white, what is done in the dark will be brought to the light"

If we do not take care of the most vulnerable populations right now then no one will. We can not treat these issues as a future problem. Every second we waste more horrors are being unleashed on the American people and the world. The time to act was months ago.

Yes!! Those who will have to deal with the aftereffects of legislation should be the ones who make legislation. It's time for a new generation of politicians, our current ones are failures.
