At the moment, I am not looking up the “chain of command” to tell me know what to do next. We help us. I am looking around me to see who needs help now and in the first 180 days and go from there. Who’s with me?

Re-reading my post I realize it sounds like I left my faith because of one speaker. It was much more than that. I know you’ve heard so many stories of why women have left the church. Knowing there are leaders with integrity and deep conviction, like yourself, in the church is comforting.

I walked away from my evangelical upbringing when I was 18 (I’m 52), when my church invited Ollie North to “deliver a sermon.” I don’t see myself ever returning to any faith practice, but I am grateful for your wisdom. It is healing to read.
