Vance went to Yale, became a lawyer, and married a lawyer. It's all a smokescreen. Vance was funded by Peter Theil and appears to be a puppet to increase the wealth of Silicon Valley Billionaires. It seems Palantir is fairing well despite the economic ups and downs.

I miss a few people who remained on Facebook, and some groups, but, other than that, I don't miss Facebook. Surprisingly, I don't miss Instagram either.

Thank you. The fight for inclusion has been a long road. It's disappointing to see the small gains being eroded by RFK Jr. and the rest of this administration.

Glad to see some good news tonight. I'm sure his family must be relieved that he is alive.

Imagine an American soldier, sitting in a comfortable chair, saying to the public that they are afraid to do their job "because retaliation is real." Elected officials expect soldiers to give their lives on behalf of the country, but they're too scared to use their voice against evil.

It's sad we have to think about this now.

There are teachers who struggle to use technology, and colleges that have outdated computer systems.
comment in response to post
I don't know what the answer is if colleges aren't successful teaching kids who lack tech skills, and, at the same time, teach tech-oriented kids who are bored to the point of quitting because they don't want to go into debt watching videos about subjects they'd prefer to research on their own.
comment in response to post
I guess I haven't experienced much of that, because my kids were tech savvy at a young age. I was a volunteer robotics coach through the Middle School years, and my young team had tech minds, too. I probably hung out with a different crowd of kids than the average student.

Thought I'd add that having students watch videos on a Chromebook is not the same as having an understanding of tech, so I don't disagree with you there.

I only have one in college. The other two are brilliant in their own ways. College teachers haven't kept up with tech. My oldest started college but wasn't going to pay for college if teachers didn't even know how to use a computer. Old school instructors are going to fail with this generation.

Why did 4 House Democrats vote to pass it?

Charles Schwab, and the others in the Oval Office, don't have Presidential Immunity. That might be a problem for them four years from now. They would have to plead guilty to a crime for Trump to pardon them and risk losing the trust of their customers.

Trump may have immunity from his actions, but people like Jamieson Greer don't. Did all of these folk forget how many of Trump's sidekicks ended up in prison after Trump's first term?
comment in response to post
I'd be curious to know how many men have been sent to prison for insider trading. Martha Stewart is the biggest name that comes to mind.

I should have included the title of the link. It is: "What To Do If Border Police Ask To Search Your Phone Know how much the law does—and doesn’t—protect your privacy rights."

Thank you. I have most of those. I have a bunch of Yarrow that needs to be moved out of a raised bed where I had temporarily saved them during the septic install. I'll plant them near the most aphid prone plants.

It's confusing when they change bill names. I called my Representative - but am concerned I called too late. Did H.R.22 pass the House yesterday? www.congress.gov/bill/119th-c...

Thanks. That explains it. I will try and stay of top of it this year as it comes back.

Rarely? Mine was attacked bad last year. It was awful. Well, here's hope that this year will go better. It was a beautiful plant the year before. Ladybugs helped out in early summer, but it was too late for the leaves.

That's interesting. I have never had tomato hornworm. I just assumed they must not be here in the PNW. I'm changing the location of my tomatoes this year. I'll keep an eye out for that one then.

What aphid attacks honeysuckle? Last year I had a problem with aphids on honeysuckle, too. It was so bad I ended up cutting the honeysuckle down to about a foot tall. I am watching that plant for the signs of aphids, too - gonna attempt to squish them as I see them arrive.

That's interesting. I used to have a big problem with aphids on roses, but haven't seen a single aphid on a rose since growing lupin near the roses. The lupin gets covered with masses of aphids. I grow organically and have approx. 70 roses in my landscape. I'd be curious what made the difference.

Excellent use of an old bedframe. Would love to know how you like it. We have the bases of two cold frames finished I'm trying to decide how I want to design the top.

That first image is stunning.

I grow lupin (native to the PNW) near my roses. Aphids prefer the lupin to my roses-the roses stay clean. I used to struggle with aphids on my roses prior to planting lupin.

I'm not a vegetarian, but have considered it. I'm allergic to tree nuts and peanuts so I'm not sure how I would replace protein in my diet. My family eats eggs from our backyard hens - that is one way we have taken a stand against factory farming practices.

If you're angry about this, too, you have the right to be. Time, and resistance, might be all it takes to begin to right the wrongs that this administration has made. /8

The wealthy often build their self worth on the appearance of wealth–wealth that might be on paper. Their happiness is based on what they can project and appearances they can make. Adjusting to living a “normal” life is not something they do easily. /7

It is easy to think that because he is wealthy, he will be fine through a failing economy. He may. But he may not. Those who have farther to fall, can fall the hardest. The rest of us know how to pinch pennies, live with the essentials, and find joy in life’s simple pleasures. /6

In 2021, Business Insider had an article about the significant losses of Donald Trump's golf courses. While I am angry about Trump's behavior, I understand that as he crashes our economy, he is crashing his own, too. /5
