I'm all for shaking up the status quo, but what I can't – and won't – get behind is doing it in a way that hurts Oregonians.

Addressing maternal mortality should be a no brainer for Democrats & Republicans. I’m glad @senlisareynolds.bsky.social is leading a Momnibus package in Oregon and I’ll be fighting right alongside her on the federal level. Let’s end maternal mortality. www.oregonlive.com/health/2025/...

What an accomplishment – can’t wait to watch! www.instagram.com/reel/DHSJWqG...

I know who I have going all the way… #GoDucks x.com/goducks/stat...

Thank you, Clackamas and Linn Counties for showing up and speaking out at our town halls! I’m glad you’re paying attention and engaged, and that you have ideas to bring to the table – I’m all ears. Keep the calls coming. I look forward to seeing more of you at the next one.

“If there ever were a beacon of hope in this country, it is Oregon’s Fifth Congressional District.” That was on full display yesterday. Thank you Linn-Benton CC & Albany Mayor Alex Johnson, Clackamas CC & Oregon City Mayor Denyse McGriff, & Sen. Wyden for two great town halls. tinyurl.com/bpabpjkj

I'll be on Tavis Smiley this morning at 10:30AM PT to chat about what's going on in Congress and my work on behalf of Oregonians. You can watch on YouTube or listen on KBLA1580.com or wherever you get your podcasts – I hope you'll tune in! 🎧

There’s A LOT going on these days, so let’s talk about it. The more I hear from you, the better job I can do fighting for you. I hope you’ll join me this weekend ⬇️

Senator Schumer should be out here fighting alongside House Democrats, snatching wigs and doing anything he can to stand up for Americans. I show up for my people. It's what I came here to do.

As a mom who has fought to make sure kids with special needs, like mine, get the education they deserve, I know how Trump’s decision to ditch the Dept. of Ed. will harm families advocating at the state level. It’s effed-up. My take ⬇️ www.bendbulletin.com/opinion/gues...

Miss Ma’am—- as EdSec, knowing the definition of IDEA is basic. I’m wrestling with how to tell you that parents need you to know and enforce federal law for our kids experiencing disabilities. Get in the ring for us!!

I was excited to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the League of Oregon Cities with some great leaders during their trip to the Capitol. Thanks for working with me to make life better for Oregonians – come back any time!

Cutting funding for clean water projects? Refusing to work with Democrats? I’m not putting up with it. I'm staying in DC ready to work on a funding bill that actually helps Oregonians.

My communities are asking me to give DC hell! So I’m still here. Waiting for Republicans to come to the table, ready to negotiate a clean bill minus the shenanigans, foolishness, and cuts to critical services. Buckle up. I’m here for the ride, because I never left.

Working on the playlist for our town halls this Sunday – drop your song requests in the comments 🎶⬇️

Cafeteria vibes

Did an #AskMeAnything this morning over on IG stories. Be sure to follow me @RepBynum there too, but here are my answers to some of the questions I got! 🧵1/4

$12 million to create more jobs. $8.5 million to make our communities safer. $2 million to make sure we have safe water to drink. That's what Republicans took away from Oregon today. I voted no.

My statement on today’s vote ⬇️

Great to see Treasurer Steiner and team in the Capitol today. Somehow DC thinks it’s ok to raise the prices of building a new library, or bridge, or clean water pipe. We say…not on our watch! Washington, I’ve got my eyes on you 👀

Give me a break.

Molalla is on my flight back to to DC w me!!! See you at the town halls this weekend!

Meeting with our mayors! Thank you to the mayors who joined me this weekend for a great discussion on the challenges facing our communities.

Fun time with the littles last night at the Trail Blazers game!

Happy #InternationalWomensDay! Today and every day, I’m fighting for a world where my daughters have the same rights that I did growing up. I’ll stop at nothing to make that happen.

I'm excited to announce I'm holding two town halls on Sunday, March 16th! I love hearing from Oregonians – that's why my office aims to answer every call, respond to every message, & fill my calendar with constituent meetings. I look forward to hearing more in Linn and Clackamas counties next week!

Quick recap of the week from the airport - see you soon, CD5!

Rent is too damn high. You sent me to Washington to lower costs, and that’s what I’m fighting to do on @ushousefsc.bsky.social.

Glad some of our county commissioners could stop by our office during their trip to DC! I look forward to continuing to work together for all Oregonians.

THIRTY-FIVE dollars for an overdraft fee? That's almost FIVE hours of work on a minimum wage salary. Give me a break. I'm not going to let big banks take advantage of families just trying to get by.

In the @laborcaucus.bsky.social, we roll up our sleeves, get to work, and deliver. That’s why I’m behind the #PROAct – to show up for workers in the fight for better conditions and better pay.

We’ve fought our way to the ballot box before, but we shouldn’t have to. It’s long past time we pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act.

My statement on President Trump's Joint Address ⬇️

Tonight, I want to hear a plan to lower costs, create jobs, and improve quality of life. My hopes are not high. That’s not what we’ve seen so far. Someone please explain to us how firing Liz, who helped stop wildfires, makes anyone's life better.

Liz is in the House! A ranger for Deschutes National Forest who helped address wildfires and was terminated by DOGE. That doesn't help anyone or make anything more "efficient." She is here tonight to show the real impact these cuts are having – I'm proud to be by her side.

Later tonight, we’ll be hearing directly from the President about his plans for our country. What do you want him to talk about? Leave a comment below. ⬇️

Feb. 18 was Liz’s last day at her job as a field ranger, a job she had for almost 10 years, helping keep our communities safe – Trump and Elon didn’t think her job was in the “public interest.” Tomorrow, she’ll be joining me for the Joint Address.

Shoutout to the women in my life! #WomensHistoryMonth

There’s a new Special Agent in Charge at the FBI Portland 😎🕵️ Thanks for stopping by, SAC Olson, and for sharing some safety best practices with my office.

Another week in Washington – here’s my report from the hill ⬇️

Wildland firefighters lay their lives on the line to keep us safe, but they are being fired to "cut costs." That's unacceptable. I'm calling on USDA and Interior to give them back their jobs and put a stop the reckless cuts so Oregon will have the resources we need.

Caught up with the next generation of leaders from @uoregon.bsky.social student government this morning. I’m expecting great things from you all – you are the future. Thanks for making the trip, and Go Ducks! 🦆

Following my socials @RepBynum is a great start, but to stay even more in the loop about the work I’m doing for Oregon’s 5th, subscribe to my newsletter! ⬇️ bynum.house.gov/contact/news...

I was told lowering costs was a top priority of this House majority, but I have yet to be given the chance to vote on a piece of legislation that does that. House Republicans, have your priorities changed? Mine haven't.

Rose is one of 18,000 children with disabilities in CD5 whose family relies on Medicaid. I spoke to her mom, Monica, who shared their story with me. Thank you, Monica. I’ll always fight to protect Medicaid and other critical programs that make life better for Oregonians.

I’ve got your back, Oregon. I’m voting no on the budget resolution.
