I've hit 71 poems and am at a point where I can start whittling my body of work into a coherent project. Still thinking of titles. I'm thinking "Pyrophany: May Heaven Call Us Kindling"

Alleged academics who peddle in transphobia betray the very heart of academia by being deeply uncurious charlatans. As if there is nothing new to be learned amongst the vagueries of identity. It's all a grift y'all.

I came out 13 years ago. I spent so much time hiding. For a majority of those years it seldom felt safe to be seen. Some days it still doesn't. Probably part of growing up in the South. But seeing this young trans girl owning her life and not flinching in the face of hate is simply inspiring.

My son. So proud.

Now that I'm on the mend I plan on going out with some friends within the next three days and post one final side by side before and after transition photo. If you've ever been strangely curious what Rev. Juniper looked like as a 21 year old community college student with bad politics, stay tuned.

What's your favorite Platonic dialogue? Revisiting my undergrad philosophy chops and thinking I'll read some old dead Greek guys while I'm healing. For fun.

He was powerful. He was wise. It didn’t spare him. Marcus Aurelius buried nearly all of his thirteen children. Grief bent him, but it didn’t break him. His story reminds us: everyone carries unseen burdens. So be kind. Show grace. We all need it.
