Probably cause Republicans are afraid that once they get divorced, no one else would want anything to do with them.

Problem with Dem leaders
Is that they believe that their constituents are engaged. That’s what happens when you live in an ivory tower - you lose touch with the people. Charts and angry words aren’t enough to stop the destruction happening around us. Get out there and lead. Do something!

Sure let’s claim that the issues are too complex and that way we can say that no one’s to blame. Geez! Take the coward’s way out.

Don’t tell me but I’ll bet Lara Trump will be the next honoree for her rousing rendition of “I Won’t Back Down”

It’s the new buzzword. It replaced “critical race theory” as the amorphous concept that we should be afraid of and hope that the children are not exposed to. The GOP has gotten really good at this.

Apparently he deleted it soon after posting it. What a wuss.

Because if there’s one thing the election proved it’s that no one gives a shit about other people’s problems. The only thing people cared about was how they were going to afford to pay for tomorrow.

He only voted “no” because he knew that Hegseth was in with Vance as the tie breaker. McConnell plays political hardball and this was a soft pitch.

Surprise, moron. I’m not MAGA. I was simply answering your question about big changes and you went off on a nonsensical tirade. It appears that reading comprehension is not your strong point.

Read my post again. I pointed out that it was a “fringe” issue. If that means No. 1 to you, then YOU are the idiot.

IMO one of the fringe issues that might have made some people vote for the devil they know or not vote at all was a national law requiring high school teams to incorporate transgender athletes. GOP painted Dems with that and it stuck. A lot of people might’ve thought that was a bridge too far.

Think of America as a huge, juggernaut machine that can only make small changes at a time. Now throw into that an engineer who wants to force huge changes overnight. Although the changes may be righteous, they mostly benefit the fringes. The Dem party was that engineer. The machine couldn’t adapt.

The movie’s already been made: “1984”

The movies make it seem like only a misguided but brilliant individual could throw the world into turmoil. But in reality, all it took was a demented child who was made to look like a successful businessman. His whole life is a serious of failures. Ironically, he failed up.

I think that Trump spoke (ahem … lied) to the masses, while Kamala and the Dems spoke to the fringes. Dems should appeal to all of us and trust us to care for and protect those who need it.

History teaches us that even the greatest of societies will collapse. Although too powerful to be conquered from outside, it collapses from within. Our society created Trump and his followers, and so our society will be destroyed by it’s creations. It’s our turn.

When you control the levers of power by putting in your “yes” men and women, who support your every whim, and ignore what’s good for the masses, what hope do we have to fight fascism? Marching in the streets? Holding up signs? Distributing memes? Non-cooperation “Ghandi” style is all we have left.

It’s time we realize that the only belief celebrities have is whatever they’re paid to believe. They’re ALL in it for the money.

Hmmm … perhaps the Dems should take a page out of the Mitch McConnell book of obstruction and claim that a lame duck president’s nominations should not even be entertained.

Saw a TH tribute band called “Start Making Sense” 5 days ago. Lots of fun and reminded me how really good, expansive, and diverse their music was.

This is definitely not him. It’s too pointed and too coherent: plus no caps and no misspellings. It’s too contrived as though the writer is creating these scenarios to divert attention from something else. Something is coming and now I’m worried.

Who pays the bills when you’re living paycheck to paycheck? What about money for food? What about the late charge fees and interest? To you, it may be a vacation, but to these people it’s devastation.

This is such bullshit. The media is now bellyaching about Trump as though claiming it shares no blame in getting him re-elected. Remember that they were the ones spotlighting Joe’s age while leaving Trump relatively unscathed. I lump journalists in the same category as unscrupulous car mechanics. 🖕🏼

As Socrates said “to know thyself is the beginning of wisdom.” MAGAts are incapable of self-analysis, so the first step to wisdom hasn’t even been taken yet.

Why should it make a difference? The industry as a whole has shown no remorse for their insureds, so why should another life cut short mean anything? People are just statistics.

He’s from the future. He came back to eliminate a pivotal person who would’ve either fucked up the future or led it to a glorious society. Either way, now we’ll never know. In any event, by altering his past, he ensured his non-existence but is stuck in an endless time loop in an alternate reality.

Although I like the bands you named, except for Adam Ant (I’ve always thought he was style over substance), no need to be a snob because other people don’t listen to the same bands. By the way, you didn’t list Minutemen, Dead Kennedys, Gang of Four, or Mission of Burma. What’s up with that?
