And this is why I believe that we will never have a Golden Dome system. Or if we do, not only will it not protect us, it will invite the missiles in and provide a road map

Then he should probably stop pushing his medical advice

That has been my viewpoint all along. It’s the perfect example of “garbage in, garbage out”. And there is clearly a lot of garbage going in

Can even one “journalist” ask these people what they are doing without. What are they sacrificing? How are they having to suffer?

I have a 4wk old granddaughter and they live about 45 minutes away, so meeting and getting to know her has made the past month much easier to navigate. My thoughts go elsewhere

I have thought that it was looking like carving up Eastern and Western hemispheres. If this continues, I expect to see Trump ratcheting up language against South America while Putin goes after Europe

Since they’ve shut down these offices already here, in a highly populated area, this should be a fun and happy time.

How soon before they remove the actual Enola Gay from the Air and Space Museum in Chantilly? Seems like the next step, right?

I don’t remember Elon Musk being berated for wearing a t-shirt, jeans and baseball cap in the Cabinet meeting yesterday. Or was that ok because he threw on a sport coat?

Sorry, but with this latest announcement, I no longer believe anything that comes from the Post. You say he isn’t encroaching on the news side, but Bezos has destroyed any trust or goodwill I might have.

It’s the plan. Trump is cheering on Musk’s destruction of our government but is basically keeping his hands clean. Letting Musk do the dirty work. What does the richest man in the world care if people hate him? Trump will just say it was Musk, not him

Can’t they just ask Musk and his Muskrats? He’s taken control of all their personal info

How long before Musk decides that he can just cut funding for Congress and the courts? Obviously, since everything is Trump’s decision as President and all must defer to him, we have no need for the other branches of government

I want to know why, at this point, do we even bother administering an oath of office? It’s clear they won’t abide by it. My baseline now is that anything out of any Republican’s mouth is a blatant lie

Kent’s entire campaign this past cycle seemed to consist of two things: He and his dead 1st wife were heroes and transphobia. That was what he ran on. Tried family man with current wife and his sons, then current wife disappeared from ads and dead wife was the focus

I got to go with my daughter to her ultrasound and see my first granddaughter. I could feel the goofy grin on my face getting to see my baby’s baby wiggle and yawn and stretch. She’s due in about 6 weeks!

2person household here. Along with what everyone else has said, what my husband has calculated out is that even on a lot of those bulk items, it’s actually a lot cheaper to buy more than you will use and throw it out than to buy smaller size at the grocery store. We share with our married kids

I think so. More than a few times I’ve had to return items that were recalled. I actually pay attention to these announcements

I assume this means when contaminated food products are recalled, the FDA won’t be letting us know so we can protect ourselves? Won’t matter what the price of groceries is, if we’re afraid to buy it

Trump is counting on the fact that in 90 days, the country will not remember or care that there is ban, and it will just fade away with do change in Congress. We will be having new outrages daily and TikTok will be last thing anyone remembers

My husband has an entire barn full of stuff like that (yes, it’s a real barn), that he’s been “saving” for 40 years. We hardly ever need to buy anything.

Exactly. My family had been here. We’d been downtown to do stuff. They knew the time and distance. Yet for some reason they thought roving bands of Antifa were prowling the streets of the suburbs

I live 9 miles west of city center, and during that time when it was 3 blocks of unrest downtown, I’d have family members back East asking if I was safe. I just laughed at them.

This is the damn dumbest thing I’ve ever seen. Here in Oregon, renewables account for about 62% of our electricity. Hydroelectric has always been our primary resource as far as I can tell. Why wouldn’t you want to use what is available?

If my new washer and dryer were so smart, I’d be able to change the “finished” happy ditty to The Imperial March from Star Wars, cause laundry if drudgery

Doing good. Have been social media quiet and real world loud these days. Second child is expecting her first child in 2 months. Excited about being a grandma again.

I had mine done several years ago and was absolutely thrilled with it. The world was so much brighter and clear. And I realized I had a purple tablecloth, not the blue I thought it was.

Trump couldn’t care less about MAGA. He can’t run again and really doesn’t care who comes after him or the Republican Party. It’s all about the money now

At least they should ask where’s the money coming from. I thought they were cutting?

And can’t seem to figure out why they don’t have the access they want. This is a perfect example of why. What would be the point?
