This feels familiar. I was recently asked to summarise the important bits of Quaker history (so almost four centuries) in a page. It's hard to pick what to leave in when there's so much which has to be left out!

Actually @martinurschel.bsky.social and I talked about that recently - we had a Trek fan on our Star Wars course and there are obvious possibilities!

I really like this quote and I wish your graphic had alt text on it.

Yes, the Book of Discipline Revision Committee is aware of this question. Personally, I find 'meeting for worship for business' a bit better than 'business method' in explaining what it is, & both preferable to 'meeting for church affairs', which is an older formal name but could be something else!

Seal spotted! This is a screenshot from the #SouthWalney web cam. The still image doesn't give as many clues as the stream, where the movement helps to clearly distinguish a seal (popping up from below) from something drifting (on the surface) or a seabird (landing or taking off).

First step check the #SouthWalney seal web cam. I haven't spotted any seals yet today but the sun is shining and the sea is blue.

Hi! I actually don't know the rough meg story - is it a retelling about a Margaret? Anyway, there are loads of interesting women in Quaker history, including Elizabeth Hooten, Mary Dyer, Elizabeth Fry, Lucretia Mott... And I'll repost this, other people might be able to help too!

When I was a postgraduate student, I once opened the door of my new flat to accept a delivery to be greeted by, "Oh, it's you!" I had ordered that particular pizza so often to my old place that he recognised me. (I'm still sad they closed and their amazing vegan pizza is no longer in the world.)
