Thanks! Getting it to sync for multiplayer made it even more annoying somehow.

Daaaang, that effect looks really nice! I think the power intro should play after you select a target though.

The concept sounds cool! Any idea what the genre/gameplay will be like?

Good luck!! Excited to see it!

That sounds awesome, I'd love to see that!

Getting your game tested is huge! Best of luck implementing feedback, sounds like you're doing it right!

Great start for sure, good luck with your game dev journey!

Awesome! Fitting in a description is real nice too!

Oh yeah, sorry that wasn't super clear I did mean attack range :)
comment in response to post
Looking great! I think a range and movement type indicator (assuming that's a mechanic in your game) are missing here, but it looks super clear otherwise! Looking forward to seeing more!

This looks really nice! It stands out a lot and feels unique for sure, maybe post a cell shaded one for comparison? Looks great like this for sure though.

This sounds so fun! Looking forward to seeing and hearing more!

Looks really polished! I really like the hit counter and damage numbers, adds a lot of good feedback!
comment in response to post
The first one is simpler and more readable than the second one for sure. If you mean to show the player, I'd maybe add a loss condition to it and use that one!

April fools aside they do look really cute!

Really digging this tileset!

Those clouds are crazy! You should certainly be proud, super cool!

Woahh, the movement looks so fun! How long has this been in the works?

Really digging this aesthetic so far! What kind of game is Future Calling?
comment in response to post
What an amazing classic vibe! Great stuff!
comment in response to post
Looking really dramatic! I wonder if they can appear larger based on the amount of damage they took on the killing blow or something?

What a glow-up, a timelapse is a fun way to show it off too, very nice! How long did it take you to remake this?
comment in response to post
Congrats on your first contribution!

It's looking great though! As long as you make something you like the engine doesn't matter, good luck!
comment in response to post
Maybe a random hue variation would look good and make it look less samey? Looking good so far though!
comment in response to post
Already looking good, what's the concept?
comment in response to post
Sounds good, I appreciate the offer a lot, I'll let you know if/when I get to sound work!

Art is a lot more of a struggle, its not something I have much experience with, I've composed music before though so if I sit down and do it I can hopefully come up with something "good enough" for the first demo!

Pick an engine and go! Learn individual, small things like moving a character one at a time and eventually you'll have a game! Good luck!

About a year and a half on and off now! I'm close-ish to having a playable demo, but it needs a lot more content first. For example, it would be nice to fight more than just giant centipedes I think!
comment in response to post
I gotcha, completely the other way around for me though, so much of my UI is ancient and unpolished but I still just want to implement new stuff. We'll get there eventually!
comment in response to post
Thanks! Currently the only implemented enemy are giant centipedes, but eventually there'll be a good variety of beasts and undead and such!

The eye movement is so smooth! Feels like the visuals are really coming together!
comment in response to post
Nice, classic pixelart swords! Really like the curved ones especially!

Godot 4 is awesome so far, what's your favorite new feature? The GD script updates is up there for me for sure.

The bounce looks super satisfying! Love the art as well, looking forward to more!
