The mental calculus of terrorism is at work i.e. anything is justified to achieve a goal These people just haven't made the leap into actual terrorism. On the periphery of the movement the terrorism of Hamas is supported and the "it didn't happen and they deserved it" trope floats freely

Electing a dictator who hates those that I hate, shuns those that I shun, and undertakes a revolution against the system in favor of a partisan political base... Seems awfully familiar?

If one or both had tied one on at exactly the wrong time then that might be that

1995 might have been. Russian nuclear football was activated for the first time by a known drunkard of a Russian President at the advice of a Defense Minister known to have been drunk while ordering military actions.

Biden thought Trump was going to run to the right of him on this and so got wrong footed politically while aiding and abetting slaughter. Trump's political instincts got him elected for a reason.
comment in response to post
Trump is running to the left of him on the war, and it may very well win him the election. He knows his base is amenable to isolationism and butting out of these wars, and he knows that Michigan Muslims need just a push to stay home. Trump's political instincts on this are perfect.

But Trump? He knows what they are thinking and knows how to lead their thought while recognizing that playing the game is not as effective as flipping the chessboard. Trump knocking McCain as a former POW really showed that he has an insight into the weakness of sacred cows and how tip them 2)
comment in response to post
Whatever foul insight he has into the psychology of voters is both effective and depressing. Politicians have always had a contempt for voters and went with sanitized pandering to get votes and build a movement 1)

Not enough people talk about how Teslas rip finger nails off due to the poor design of their doors. Had to take a friend to the ER this easter because she passed out from the pain of her entire nail getting ripped off

Only way boycotting a political process can work is if a withdrawal is paired with a "stick" that can force politicians to the table. Americans are too indolent and decadent to pursue that avenue though. Honestly political doormatism is very on brand.

Evergreen bypassing a paywall advice, put the article into reader mode Also, *When one of his guests, Cynthia Garrett, the host of NBC's ''Later,'' said ''My 9-year-old nephew is retarded, I've never thought of him like a little dog,'' Mr. Maher responded by saying, ''Well, maybe you should.''*

I've had a series of cats with the name Kenneth. Kenneth, the 4th of his name, is a surely tabbicus that may or may not be eating rice fish directly from my pond

I think an AI generated faux lynching would be warmly received by much of his base. I think an *actual* political lynching would cause mild consternation that would soon dissipate.

He must be prevented at all costs from playing Fallout New Vegas because we don't need to live in a world where he discovers the faux Hegelian thought of a Romaboo sociopath or Securitrons

Would not be shocked if Trump lost and cashed out all his shares

I would go into puts but something fucky is going on, as if it is a pump and dump with particularly long legs. So I'd rather not try to catch that rising knife if the cultists and shady shell investors are gonna keep it up for awhile.

Compared to another recent social media IPO, Reddit, Truth Social is particularly egregious in terms of EPS. Truth Social makes Reddit look like Apple even though Reddit has never turned a net profit.

People hear what they want to hear. For lefties Texas and Florida are inveterate enemies. So naturally every stat and anecdote will be heard of in a minor key. For righties Texas and Florida are paradise, full of rich chord progressions and cheering to be defended.

This year is the 30th anniversary of Kurt Cobain dying and Nirvana ending. Nirvana is as close to 2024 as the Beatles' first world tour is to 1994.

She has been running for either congress or governor/lt. governor *hard* from the start. And after getting caught in a very questionable situation, she has been plinking the dopamine receptors of a very specific part of the Dem base by portraying herself as a victim of sexism and racism.

I don't like the extremes either but one is a broken foot the other is a leg amputation. I'm much more scared of the fascist than the person that uses "birthing person" unironically.

Add AI to the mix as well. Trump in a second term with state actors and US supporters churning out fake articles, studies, video clips, audio clips etc would be a nightmare. Frankly, it will happen if Biden gets re-elected anyway. The future is going to get so absolutely screwed sideways by AI.

I'm gonna be the contrarian and say this contribution to the culture is a piece of evidence against focus groups! I won't elaborate, as C-3PO getting his PO yanked every time you need tape speaks for itself

Then combine this with what happened with the schools and the George Floyd protests that you touched on and these days I feel a need to check their homework when they say something about Covid. And I don't like that. Just my view as an average dude Ramble over, lol

As for the booster, they did not act on Israeli data showing a booster was effective at renewing immunity for far too long. I'm in Dallas and drove up to Durant, OK with my wife a month before boosters were finally approved in the US to get boosted. (Two pharmacies denied me in Texas)

It was readily transparent they were ignoring studies dating back to the emergence of SARS in China and Taiwan that showed masking was effective for a closely related coronavirus and giving people iffy direction because they were prioritizing medical workers getting masks.
comment in response to post
The thing that really peeved me off about the public health response that wasn't touched on in the article was how ridiculously cautious it was on the early adoption of masking and later the adoption of boosters.

Gatorade is actually sold as a powder also, unless those twats pulled it from the market like 1 gallon bottles years ago. Anyway, powder is a better deal.
