Feel that. A shitty work week is still a challenge to overcome by weeks end. Some Fridays I just need to mentally vegetate

in the past definitely. started working out at home a couple days a week since May and it's a game changer. Despite the constant horrors I am at least physically less beat down. It's even given me a little boost in mental fortitude. not a cure all but could at least soften the blows

For gain/distortion they can be ok but other applications are sold on being TUBES! but functionally are usually crippled

You bring up a good distinction between performer/operator of music vs creative musician and the commodification of music which is what 'popular' music is now(most music isn't this) A great topic to get into but off the original of creating something vs exercising consumer choice in an app

We disagree on the purpose of art making. Making art, especially music, is not solely about getting to a final product or others happiness. Without your individual/unique creative voice throughout the process it is pastiche at best. Painting by numbers is technically painting but hardly art.

when I lived in Japan I studied the koto and gave my sensei a cd with my noise/experimental tunes at the time. she was listening to it and her husband asked her if her stereo was broken. one of the better compliments I'd received

relative freq range fixes, within reason, can be balanced after the mix but when specific parts/voices are out of line it's best to just fix the mix

within limits I would say yes. if the balance between kick/bass is correct but overall is a little loud or quiet it can be managed with some eq as overall gain comes up. headroom is key cause without it there isn't room to do anything, too much raises the noise floor with the extra gain required

amazing. Is this a readily available diy kit or something you've done on your own?

They seem similar. Super clean, sync is tight and on the Chrono you have the two modes if you want pitch changes or not when adjusting the delay time. Sounds like I need to get the Erica as well!

The sentiment is appreciated but I've always experienced modular as the most cro-magnon approach to synthesis. It may look complicated but it's the most direct interaction with electricity for synthesis.

How do you like it so far? I love my Chronoblob 2 and the v1 of the Stereo Delay has been on my list. Can never have too many delays.
