My point is about priority. Being able to make steel is of supreme strategic importance for a country - needs speedy resolution.

I think you’re missing that a ‘Universal Theme Park’ is to be built in the south of England - clearly much more important in the weird world of the Labour leadership than steel making in Scunthorpe!

A recent council by-election result in Lincoln: Lib Dems taking the seat from Labour.

Mr Jones prefers freebies to spending his own ‘pocket money’ - Taylor Swift concert (£3,400), opera tickets (£344), Hakluyt conference (£2411).

Bizarre comments by Streeting . For me Labour, with a huge majority has been timid in its approach . Now they want to be Trump-lite mini-fascists!

Cerys, Hank Wangford introduced me to the real country music - the folk music of white America but often influenced by the folk music of black America (the blues). See Hank’s Stormy Horizons (track and album. Great show as always.

…nation's top military officer has been removed so early into what should be a four-year term. TRUTH: Trump fired General Brown because he is a brilliant Black man — who was serving in an elite position of power, and white supremacists like Donald Trump cannot handle inescapable facts…

Similar instrumentation on Station Blues by Corey Harris and Sharde Thomas (recorded 2003 when Sharde - cane fife player - was 12!).

I liked the character of Venetia - more politically astute and socially aware (eg travelling 3rd class) than Asquith despite having no political rights. Also eventually breaking free of him, charting her own course. Interesting to read about her real life after the events of the novel.

A worker (called himself ‘Jack’) on my tenant farmer Grandad’s farm was a refugee from Soviet-era Ukraine. Often visited and chatted to him (I was 5 or 6 years old!).
