I appreciate that they unnecessarily arrested him. If they had simply watched him stand in the middle of the room, it would have given his act of defiance no significance. Now we have an effective course of action clearly outlined.

Living paycheck to paycheck is incomprehensible to someone who could never spend his fortune in a lifetime, even if he tried.

Universities in the state of Iowa had to close their DEI offices because they didn’t “contribute to the enrollment or education” objectives of the school. Yeah, well neither do sports, but the state let them keep those. We know exactly what TF this is and I love how Colorado played it.

Don’t do it. That shit is abrasive.

My new go to is the head shake of disappointment. That really gets them. I even got a, “So, you think you’re a better driver than me?!?!” I replied, “I could try to do worse, but I doubt it would work!” He just stared at me in confusion.

I remember living in Minneapolis and one snow storm dumped 14” on us overnight. The morning commute was passable, but everything was back to normal by lunchtime. Everyone had their roof rakes out after work.

The cancel culture is strong with him. And I think I recognize “THE BEST IS YET TO COME!!!” from some other psycho.

Mitch, you can’t beat them by stairing them down.

I have several years’ of German (a bit rusty, however) and I’m currently working on learning French. I appreciate your suggestions and followed you. I had started the Darknet Diaries podcast, which can also be a bit deep and dark. If I come across anything else of interest, I will let you know.

Whether we still hold enough control of the ability to put things back on the right track is my primary concern. If we lose that battle, they have the capability to disrupt our entire way of life, including democracy itself. What is at stake and the way it is currently playing out is frightening.

I am always looking for ways to expand my knowledge and exposure to the field. I fully agree that bad actors have worked at infiltrating our executive, legislative, and enforcement departments.

Thank you for referencing those books and authors, as well as the podcast. I will have to look into them. I recently earned my second bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity and was considering a position within the fed. Obviously, recent events have given me pause to take that step.

It will be interesting when one of these situations inevitably involves intervention by some level of the enforcement community. They are sworn to protect national security, not guarantee access to a network housing classified data. I really hope they make the right call and turn the tide.

They should be livestreaming all of this. Use their own weapons against them.

We like the double entendre of this smoking cessation poster at work.

Living in a red state, I support this. Worldwide embargoes will soon be on the table, as it was for the axis powers in the 1930s. This is who we are now.

The kicker for me is that they didn’t want to vote for her because “she wasn’t chosen by the people”, but they blindly accept musk accessing government servers or running the country by pulling trump’s strings. Nobody voted for musk.

I ordered my required number of cassettes from Columbia! How long is agreeing to join that music club at the age of 16 going to follow me?

Double bonus: Easy to clean vandalism, and it’s not like students would feel inclined to do so. Just get out of there with any optimism you have left intact.

Does it stick out from the opposite building or is it atop the pillar? Either way, that is very odd.

Iowa State has a lot of brutalist architecture, because it was extremely popular when the campus went through a massive growth spurt. The recent architecture is much more inspired and uplifting.

Never mind that isolationism never works and the world needs our help. The next time an Ebola outbreak occurs and we aren’t there to track and isolate it, it could break out and kill billions worldwide. The virus doesn’t care how much money you have, so it could be a great equalizer.
