Probably and yes. Also, behind door number C we have “narcissists will never admit they were wrong.”

So Hegdeath, et al. breach ALL the security rules and regs in the whole entire book and everyone shrugs and moves on, but this person criticizes the regime and gets dismissed? So, that’s where we are. Great.

You don’t know them. They go to another school.

Yeah, I spent my high school and college history classes thinking, “boy, that sucked! I’m glad I didn’t have to live through that.” And now I have to live through one of That (having now lived through a couple of other Thats). I’m sick of That. I want to live in uninteresting times.

Ace people are literally living the “virtuous life” that the terminally rightward would claim is ideal. How do they justify being mad about it??

I remember the “grittiness” backlash to that on TV shows in the 80s because people were so over the perceived pap of those “everything is perfect and easy” shows, because they were so far from people’s real experiences.

Been wondering that myself.

Start calling it the “Trump Recession/Depression” and referring to him as “that loser Trump”, and saying “It’s Trump’s fault” loud enough and often enough and he might get freaked enough to change course.

I was just telling someone that the other day. If there comes a chance months or years from now to rebuild the departments that are currently being trashed, it’s going to look like a bunch of partisan meanies firing “innocent” workers or “sinking our tax dollars into unnecessary bureaucracy”.

I wonder if these people were counted in the total number of people participating in protests.

So we’re back to indulgences again, then?

Gender affirming care for he, but not for thee.

Knowing when an active volcano might erupt seems like vital knowledge to track and share. Taking away that ability is not in the interest of the people. So many ways they’re taking away things that serve and protect US citizens.

Galling that real heroes are being removed at the behest of a classic example of a Fortunate Son.

Yeah, the Vichy government is not remembered well by history.

Good luck with the thing. Hope it helps when you do it.

Like, why do they think trans people object to folks choosing to detransition? If a gender isn’t right for you, don’t force yourself to live in it. Being forced to detransition (or being forced to transition) is terrible, because of the forcing part. And the living in not-the-right-gender part.

About as well as they understand that “reasonable police reform” gave us George Floyd’s murder almost 30 years after Rodney King’s beating. And that presenting yourself at a border is literally how you’re supposed to claim asylum. And that prepubescent kids don’t ever get any medical transition.

To say nothing of the fact that none of his points have ever actually worked the way he thinks they do.

I had to root for the mouse when they were beefing with DeSatan. It felt unnatural. I am enormously displeased to see the usual order of this tiny sliver of the universe restored in this current era of hateful chaos.

Do you know what kind of dog Ivy is? Bonnie came from the shelter, so we don’t know. Best guess is some sort of hound mix. Maybe some Springer Spaniel or something mixed in.

Here’s my Bonnie, ever-hopeful that those same kinds of pets will happen to her.

Just now? I’d have figured that a “top general” would be more intelligent and insightful than that. Or at least more aware of the scuttlebutt.

We know from bones that Neanderthals cared for their injured, sick, and elderly community members. That spark of humanity shines to us through the millennia. And here we are, being less humane than Neanderthals. WTAF, humans??

Can we yell-yell? Is profanity allowed? I’ve only managed to talk to low level staffers at my D reps office and I don’t want to yell at them. I would leave a salty voicemail with my R senators offices, but I don’t want to get discounted for not following decorum or something.

Governors and citizens need to be hounding their republican representatives and senators. They control the funding. TFG has no business being in that loop.

It doesn’t even matter whether they do or don’t. In the US, people have rights, even if they don’t conform to a 6 year old’s understanding of “normal”. These EOs are unconstitutional and should never have been made, let alone issued.

Can you or another democratic leader start doing daily briefings? Other countries have their opposition party doing their own press. You can get real info out there and keep the legit media outlets in business.

Yeah, I called and left messages (calls went to voicemail) for both my R senators. I also called and spoke to a staffer for my D representative. Then I got a form email from the rep detailing all the things she’s doing to work against the nonsense. +10 points to the rep for responsiveness.
