I let AGU know they have lost trust. I do not know if AGU cares if those members who engage in justice-oriented work are left behind or not. I look to AGU to be a welcoming space - the AGU Ethics and Equity Center is unique and forward thinking. 15/

To ensure legally required compliance, certain pages on the AGU website were taken down temporarily for review. These have all been restored. AGU's work and what it stands for has not changed. AGU has strongly reiterated its commitment to the importance of our values, especially DEI.

General statistics on earthquakes would favour "nothing", but we don't know. We cannot exclude a larger event, even if probabilities (not calculated) are probably low.

This is the way it has always happened. All these "little" things eat into freedom and progress and eventually install fascism.
But, meh, AGU is not a federal agency. Why do they debase themselves like this? Collaborators (WWII sense)?
