Atlas Comics were SOOOOOO good. Horribly underappreciated. So full of unrealized potential. Such a bad rap they got.

LOVE all the Joe KO lines. They were a very integral part of childhood collecting -- US Forces, Commando Ranger, National Defense, General Patch, American Defense -- they weren't just KOs to me. They were blank slates waiting for my imagination to write their stories. And fond memories with my Dad.

Comic book art......that way I wouldn't have had to wait 30-some years to finish 15 simple pages of artwork.... 😕

Cool thing is, that was Amazing Man's real name. Just worked into the modern title to maintain its PD-ness.

Here's another example of PD in action. Gallant Comics is presently & successfully doing 'John Aman: Amazing Man'....

The Protectors was my favorite series back then, along with AC Comics 'Femforce'. When I was going by the moniker 'Rob Running Water', I had numerous letters printed in both.

They were resurrected by Malibu Comics in the 1990s as 'The Protectors'....a favorite series. And to this day, versions are continually being used by Erik Larsen, Dynamite Comics, even former Protectors scribe RA Jones has penned versions in novel format, amongst many others. That's the joy of PD.

I would. Original Mighty Man was a character published by the long defunct Golden Age publishing house, Centaur Publications. They were responsible for such PD favorites as Amazing Man, The Eye, Mighty Man, Man Of War, Eternal Man, The Ferret, and many many others.

THANKS so much!!! 👍😁👍 I'm glad I can at least do this much. The Cancer's been knocking the piss outta me the past couple months. So my storytelling been suffering. My cooking, no. But the cancer fog is a bastard to get past when I wanna make for a well-done series of dio-pics...Your kind words ROCK!
