I'm here for respectful exchanges of ideas that have nothing to do with politics. I block all who are 100% politics here. Let's talk about dogs, travel, acts of kindness and funny stories. Be nice people ... life is too short.

She and the PM have been at odds over fiscal policy for a while. So was Bill Morneau.
Like it or not, he's the tallest hog at the trough. If a senior minister doesn't agree with him, best they do step down.

CMHC says a "comfortable" income for a family of 4 is between $62K and $75K per year.
I don't know what they're smoking but, especially in larger centers, that won't be enough.

What's most interesting to me is the lack of effort Putin made to keep Assad in power. He either has other plans, or didn't have the military resources available to prop him up.

There is some good still on it.
And a lot of evil.
Sometimes you need to see evil to remind yourself what good looks like.

Wouldn't he only plead the 3rd?
I don't think he's bright enough to count to 5.

Same here.
If a politician's family isn't politically active beyond the obligatory grip and grins that come with their spouse's job, then they are off limits.
Even if they are politically active, it should always be "leave the kids out of it".

Trump will be frozen with indecision. Matters this complex are so far beyond his ability to analyze and resolve.

I played soccer for 45 years ... without ever wearing a cup.
In hindsight, my decision not to wear might have been kinda nutty.

His 1st administration, he picked people who had brains and a conscience (some anyway). They would stand up to him.
Now, he's picking people who have 💩 for brains but will be fiercely loyal to him and the cult. Consequences be damned.

This could create a constitutional crisis very early on in his presidency. The military swear their allegiance to the constitition. They are huge on chains of commands and procedure. If Trump gives an unlawful order, he puts his senior command in a very difficult position.

Only one of my pups (my Cloe, seen above) sleeps on my bed. She's an absolute bed hog. It's a battle almost every night to move her over.

He was in government for 9 years under Harper. He held 2 cabinet posts:
- Minister of Employment and Social Development.
- Minister for Democratic Reform
That people don't remember this is an indication of how little Pierre accomplished while he was there.

I'm calling the upcoming presidency the "Drumpf Reich".
"Drumpf" because that was the Donald's family name when they immigrated. They changed it to hide who they are.
"Reich" because, well, the steps they're taking are scary similar to what happened in the 1930's.

My bassets basically have zero recall so they are only off leash in fenced in off leash parks.
Oh yeah ... and they have short, stubby legs. Not nearly as quick as a husky! 😉🤣

My preference is that all 3 national leaders quietly ride off into the sun and we never hear from them again. They are all a totally useless lot.

I didn't vote for JT in 2019 or 2021 so he isn't mine.
Got anything else?
Or are you just another Pierre Piddle mouthpiece sad that no one is paying attention to you on X any more?

People are often clueless on how powerful public administrators are.
If any politician wants to actually get something done, they need the support and work of the civil service. If they piss off enough people, that work slows to a crawl or even a stop.
These hacks are going to learn a hard lesson.

Pierre Poilievre.
Over 20 years grifting off the taxpayers of Canada and all he can come up with are 3 word punch lines.
That's it. That's all he's got.
What a pathetic dweeb he is.
