I am a Palaeoanthropologist. I worked as a researcher/Project Director for the Lewis Research Unit (until July 2025, when I retired & became its Honorary President). I am also into a form of exercise called Natural Body Sculpting.

In the 1980s I was glued every Saturday evening to TV watching Gil Gerrard as Captain William “Buck” Rogers. In the 1940s my dad was similarly glued to the cinema in Tullamore, Ireland on a Saturday afternoon, watching Larry “Buster” Crabb as Captain William “Buck” Rogers.

Watching the BAFTAs with David Tennant. Funny to see his wife with him. She of course is Peter Davison’s daughter. Interesting for her being the daughter of Dr Who and the wife of Dr Who.. Georgia appeared with both dad & hubby in Dr Who The Doctor’s Daughter (with David) & Red Dawn (with Peter) 👍

Pointless (BBC 1) this evening had a category, which was naming a pointless Lido pool in the UK.. I shouted at the television “Wycombe Rye Lido”, which I had visited many times during my time living in High Wycombe. Liza Tarbuck, (co-host) confirmed that Wycombe Rye Lido was a pointless answer.. 👍

DAVROS day today.. watched Genesis of the Daleks.. Now watching The Stolen Earth/Journey’s End.. The dialogues between the 4th/10th Doctor’s and Davros are amazing and quite exhilarating.. Good also seeing Sarah Jane meeting Davros again after after so many years.. Time comes full circle
