I am a Palaeoanthropologist. I worked as a researcher/Project Director for the Lewis Research Unit (until July 2025, when I retired & became its Honorary President). I am also into a form of exercise called Natural Body Sculpting.

In the 1980s pilot, both actors teamed up with Larry Crabb portraying Brigadier Flash Gordon (his other main sci-fi role in the 1930s/40s, also portrayed by Sam Jones in the 1981 film Flash Gordon).

Good on you Seth.. You’re such a wonderful science communicator on your WoPA videos.. I would imagine you’re excellent to listen to lecturing in real life so to speak.. 👍

Only so many ways of phrasing “Actually we don’t know yet” before one loses confidence 😂😂😂👍👍

Great you got to give a lecture Seth. I must admit I’m not a “lecture” person. Bournemouth University’s Anthropology curator has asked me in the past to give guest lectures to students on human evolution. I don’t mind giving lectures, it’s the questions I’m afraid of.

Don’t worry Rebecca, I’ve been in similar situations with archaeological overload many times over the years.. never get tired of it..👍💯

A man, alien..whatever, trying to save his own race, at the cost of another.. Goodness !! Maybe Trump, is actually a Jagaroth!! It makes sense if you think about it. Beneath that blonde mop, is a green skin, one eyed alien, bent on destroying the human species.. 🤔

Another person, or in this case whole race, that had to die for the sake of life evolving on Planet Earth

Just think, if he had cracked that third Logic program, none of us, Homo sapiens, or any previous hominin species, genera, whatever, would have possibly evolved. Sad ending to his young life, for our sakes, he had to die.. incidentally, I’ve just watched The City of Death. 👍

Also, the Gulf of Mexico being renamed the Gulf of America!! This is going to piss off many palaeontologists, as well as literature scholars, who will have to rewrite Text books, to reflect the KT extinction asteroid that crashed into that area 66 million years ago, crashed into the Gulf of America

I was particularly offended by his comment that he would enforce the ideal there are only two unequivocal sexes, men and women. Trans people obviously don’t count as human in his view.. one of many things he said I found offensive and quite dangerous really.

Very sad.. a lot of my childhood/adolescent memories lost this week, topped yesterday with the news Dennis Law has gone on his big footie adventure.. I’m Not remotely a Man U fan, but that UTD front three, Best, Charlton and Law.. wow!! Formidable and beautiful to watch.. RIP Dennis 😢

Unfortunately very true.. A major reason why we lose so much potential from our sciences I guess. Sad indeed Alessio 😢

I wonder why ?? This is a fabulous piece of archaeology.. incredibly beautiful and important too. People’s ability to consistently ignore important archaeological finds never ceases to astound me 🤨

Dr Gittos puts forward a very interesting and compelling hypothesis here.. it will be interesting to see how the archaeological community responds to her findings 👍
