I don't play many open world games since my instinct is to do All The Things before I advance the story, so I tend to get burn out on them. FF7 Rebirth feels like it's striking a balance for me in terms of how much stuff there is to do before the only thing left is continue the main quest.

Been thinking a lot about the shaking cursor in UFO 50's "Night Manor" and how it never fails to add tension, unlike most input-based "life or death" sequences in point-n-clicks. Since it rarely plays out the exact same way twice, you don't get numb to it nearly as fast. #gamedev #pointandclick
